tried the Micro scale liquid decal film today and although they lasted longer than the others they wouldn't come off the backing paper and tore . will attempt to print my own this weekend, wish me luck I think I'm gonna need it

Thanks guys, health has been real bad for me lately so haven't achieved much at all, however I have been doing bits and pieces where I can and actually got it painted today.Not sure I like it yet ,the camera's really washing out the orange so it looks a little worse in the pics best shot of color

Shopping online I can get 2 kits for the price of one at the LHS( including shipping). I do get my paint (Tamiya enamels only)and evergreen supplies there but do occasionally buy a kit on impulse ,

I do agree with the idea of gong through and deleting all posts that have had the pics deleted,when I first joined I started at the back working towards the current stuff and the amount of posts with no pics anymore is quite astounding. Would be a tedious job for sure but would remove quite a bit of wasted space. I do know alot of them were Jeff Saubers as I was quite keen to look at them alas to no avail. I'll put my hand up to help if needed even if its just an email with thread title, op and page no, to whomever. On that point,what about all the double up or now irralavint / pointless posts in the general section, some of those go on for pages, fun at the time but kinda pointless to keep. Better those to go than actual build posts (with pics). Thats my $1.50.

I completely understand where you're coming from Dave, though I don't,did not and haven't done it that way. But I have lost entire (at times) long posts when after hitting the send button they mysteriously disappear into cyber f knows where. There is always issues with any website that does a major upgrade, though within a week most will have been fixed and forgotten and the site will be better than before ( Thanks Gregg ).

Paul , if you want the lip either glue a thin strip of styrene around the opening on the bottom side (sticking out about 1mm) and putty around it on the guard to fill out the lip or glue a small strip along the flat guard and file to shape, hope thats clear enough
