  1. Richard - Thanx. I'm a little retentive when it comes to highlighting details. (A little?) Niko - Hey young man!!!!! I'm glad to be back. Been following your stuff and everyone else's as well. Just kinda' hiding in the shadows. BTW, edited the original post. I accidentally said the motor had Hemi heads. NOT! Hemi valve covers is what I should have said. Chalk it up to subliminal avoidance of, well, you know.........
  2. ...and a few more.
  3. Hi Folks. It's been way too long since I've posted any of my "Off the Wall" builds. I'm not sure how to classify it, so for now we'll just put it in the Custom Car category. Most importantly, I want to point out that this is the 383 with Hemi valve covers. This is intentional to hide the top of the headers, which are from the Don Schumacher F/C. Other than that, take a look and I'll be glad to answer any other questions that come up. Oh, yes, the steering works.
  4. With apologies, my impatience got the better of me. Comments removed.
  5. Thank you Gent's. Wasn't aware of any previous problems since I'd done it before. I'll contact the powers that be.
  6. I'm trying to change my display name from WCS Racing. However, the option to "Change Display Name" is no where to be found in my personal settings. Is this no longer an option, or am I waiting on a time expiration from when I changed it from Batzilla, my first one? I'm too old to remember when that was.........
  7. LOL. Just found this on Evilbay: Item 390336818099 is no longer available. 50 items found similar to 1 25 Detail Master Moon Gas Tanks Drag Aluminum Gasser I'm going to contact Micro Nitro and see if he can make them for me. I'll have to scratch build the brackets if they don't fit the kit chassis. Thanx again.
  8. Sorry I wasn't more specific, but yes Chris. The round cylindrical moon tanks you would also see hanging on the front of a Gasser. I saw this type of tank on both John Teresi's and Shane Gans' Charlie Allen Funny Cars. Shane's are aluminum but appear to have an extra "hole" for a large fitting at the base, and knowing John, his may be Alclad. Casey, Pro Tech is one of the sites I checked without luck. After checking Future Attraction, I only saw the rectangular style. Thanx for the input.
  9. My hard drive crashed awhile back, taking with it all of my "Favorites" listings of aftermarket suppliers. I plan on starting a new funny car project with wheels from Micro Nitro. Can someone tell me where I can find these tanks with photo etch brackets? I've checked a number of the sites my feeble old mind could recall, but I'm coming up short. Thanx
  10. Just stopped by to thank everybody for checking out the build. Glad y'all like it.
  11. Thank you Mike. Wayne, you have mail
  12. Very observant Gents. It's a long story about the grille. It had the correct grille and I was going to do a "Panel & Rivet" nose treatment with peel away paint. Unfortunately, the decals I was trying to get never materialized. I already had the panel lines on, so to paint it all over I removed the panel lines and the grille came with them. Fortunately, the kit came with extra grille decals. Kane, I wouldn't drive it Thanks Chuck and Ray.
  13. Kane and Ron, thanks for noticing. Slixx carries NHRA contingency sponsor decal sheets. The blower belt markings came on the 2 sheets I have. Thanks Ray and HI BRETT!!!!!!
  14. and a few more.
  15. There is nothing more constant than change. So, I'm back, but not as Batzilla. WCS Racing stands for "Woulda', Coulda', Shoulda' Racing", as most of my vintage drag builds are not what was, but what could have been. As I said, most, because this one isn't. This is the build I had going before my abrupt disappearance from the board. Unfortunately, decals I was hoping for never came thru, so I decided to Blitz it with what I had on hand. Enjoy.
  16. This is another "What If" build, using the Revell Tom McEwen rail. Sorry for the cowl to body mismatch in the photos. It does fit. Paint is primarily red and gold using Slixx decals. Enjoy.
  17. Thank you so much EVERYBODY. Those are some great (and funny) comments. I put it in the mail to her today and she will get it before Valentines Day. I can't wait for her phone call. I know what she is getting is not what she is expecting. Just wish I could see the look on her face.
  18. Outrageous to the core Ira.
  19. Been watching from the start. As always, it just keeps getting gooder and gooder.
  20. Thanks guys. She's 12 going on 45.
  21. One day, as I was talking to my granddaughter, she told me she wanted me to build her a model. Of course, I said yes and what would she like? Keeping in mind that youngsters can be very nonspecific, she said she wanted an Alligator Limousine. I said , no problem, then went about how the heck I was going to fulfill her request. So, I got a Sunnyside Limo diecast and found some rubber alligators and commenced to chopping. I later found out that what she REALLY wanted was a limo for the University of Florida Gators football team. This is the end result:
  22. Zillathrilla, level 61 Dwarf Hunter on World of Warcraft. Just got my Griffon and now I fly all over Azeroth catching up on Mining and Archaeology. Plus I've got 2 projects on hold and refuse to start another until at least one is done.
  23. So far so good. Where do the thrusters go?
