  1. I use Westley's Bleach White. It's a cleaner for white wall tires and convertible tops, etc. It does not ruin the parts and strips them clean. Perfect for Alclad or color matching schemes. I have it in a cotton candy cup cause it's cheap and have a cheap net from a kitchen set that I heated the handle for the bend. This holds all the small parts. Here is the results from my 74 Caprice.
  2. Where I live a few smaller towns all come together here and on of them "Tolleson" has a Caprice police car on spokes and hydros and they use it to reach out to the youth.
  3. Those seats look sharp! Great so far.
  4. I found a large scale R/C of this car at the thrift store not long ago for $3 minus the controller and battery pack. It was the wrong body style though so I passed. I regret it. Nice car for a project and good luck!
  5. Harry I agree with the Checker. I saw one at Goodguys that was not a cab. It was a dark blue and looked sharp. Don't forget that the Chevy Suburban is an SUV and actually started with the late 40's early 50's style. Not sure I've seen a Willy's but would like to
  6. Wow nice work again. I really enjoy your imports and this is the 1st domestic I've seen from you and its fantastic! I owned a 66 chevy once and my 80 GMC Jimmy was actually chosen by overhaulin. My soon to be wife got the call 2 weeks after I sold it
  7. Hey dude nice to see you made it! Now just follow the rules and finish that Vette
  8. Sweet idea! I've always liked the Sidewinder so it's cool to see something done with it.
  9. So the last pics were a two tone primer. Today she got actual paint. I screwed up bad. I tried to use the last of a cheap black and it really messed up the car. There is chunks and spots everywhere. Time to wet sand her and try again when I get paid. I like the 2 tone idea and the wheels as it kind of leans to Resto-Mod theme. Here is the paint I'm not happy with at all (forgive the trim line for I'm going to BMF it hopefully).
  10. Dave this is the reason I hate good cameras To the eye the interior is looking really good. To my camera it is really Furry
  11. I've been waiting on this one and I say WOW! I already vote this as one of the best so far in 2010!
  12. Marc that is amazing. I love the little cars like the Pinto ( Love the wagon) Monza's and that little Chevette. Perfect example of the thread topic finding things you did not know were made: I want that Ventura!!! I have the Nova, Owned a real 76 Skylark. So I love the sister cars ( Also including the Omega)
  13. I saw a twin turbo Fox body Mustang on either Pinks or PassTime that was making around that HP I was blown away! Cool link man
  14. I think you need a lot of models There are so many to include I think the best would be a steam followed by a model T. I'll go random here, can't leave out heavy duty trucks from the 30's 40's that were strong enough to haul semi trailers, pony cars, muscle cars, exotics, what ever the first car was that had power steering, cruise control, topped 200 mph and is street legal. Cummins, Cat, etc. Race cars, Grave digger changed monster trucks. Cant leave out Caddillac with the great fins, the bubble top Chevys, almost any VW to the luxury of Rolls Royce and such. Too much and where do you stop? Ampicar? LeCar? Junk but paved the way for cars like Geo Metros, and other tiny cars oh the original MINI I can't stop now.
  15. Jon if you have a Hobby Lobby by you I'd go to the section where they carry hot glue guns. There is a hobby wire in different sizes. you could get the smallest one and wrap it around a toothpic or smaller thing pull them off, trim them and paint them. Thats what I did with my rear coil springs with a larger wire for my 70 Super Bee. The small one is very very thin.
  16. Sweet kits everyone! I really like some of those gassers and a lot of the old 4x4 kits. That super van looks like one of the old Hot Wheels in the Heavy Weights series.
  17. Yeah I suppose that flat newer bus and the nova and the rat rod would make for a rather uncomfortable drive.
  18. Thanks Marty!
  19. Sweet V-Dubs. I like the bus's but want to smack the shoe box owners. I'd cruise the 1st VW pic and the crazy Nova
  20. As soon as I saw a couple of these ( Mainly the big rig) I wanted them. If anyone knows who carries these let me know. So far my main LHS does not carry them.
  21. That came out great! Fantastic way to capture a GMC look!
  22. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! I gotta say cool diver too my guess was LIl' Homies
  23. Cool idea. I always love certain cars from this maker and have a few. This Jeep and Toyota FJ40? were among my favorites. And the widebody Fiero
  24. So I tried something today I scratch built my very 1st seat belts. Also picked the wheels out of the bin and no this is not the color scheme but it will be 2 tone. I was really irritated with the look of the belts and the camera does not show depth. It really looks good to the eye and I'm actually happy now. What do you think?.
