  1. Nice pics Ron! Thanks for posting. Sure wish I coulda made it
  2. Depending on the year Luis, it could be the same shade of blue. Are you using an authentic color for the model year?
  3. AWESOME! I'll bet that takes up some MAJOR shelf space!
  4. Very cool Al! Don't let Harry see
  5. X2!!! WOW! Homemade decals? That pouring beer looks real enough to drink! NICE!
  6. Yeah and to think, back in the sixties, they used to re-tool EVERY year for the annuals, just like the 1:1s!!!

    VW 1300

    Nice job Niko!
  8. Kolben, welcome to MCM! Nice to see another ORM member here!
  9. I've been spending WAAAY too much lately...the last few shows I've been to have had deals way too good to pass up. I've even resorted to "hiding" kit purchases from my bride, I really gotta stop this! Must...stay.....away.......from.........LHS.............tomorrow

    Ford GT

    Nicely done!
  11. I sometimes open them up in the hobby shop or at least in the car! Can't wait to check out the parts, looking at the level of detail. Gotta see how the wheels/tires look, most of the time do a quick mock-up also
  12. Again as it's been said, it's Nick's & he can do what he wants... But, IMHO, it's only worth something to the original owner that "built" it. Kinda like a valuable antique piece of furniture that's been brush painted sloppily...would an antique dealer/broker leave "as-is" before selling?
  13. That's a real BEAUTY Geoff!!! Turned out spectacular I've enjoyed your WIP, thanks for sharing!
  14. Granny packin' heat...gotta love it!
  15. Thanks for the tutorial James! Nice work!
  16. Looks like a 1:1, just like your bug build! NICE!!!
  17. Very cool so far!
  18. Wow!!! That looks great!
  19. I opened this "common language thread" thinking it was about F/S, S/I, O/C, etc.
  20. I'll be replicating a cool street machine that I remember as a kid, went for a WILD ride in that car! Someone has said that there is a resin conversion out there somewhere Niko, but this'll be a fairly straight-forward conversion, so I'm doing it in styrene
  21. That would be a fair representation of the venerable New Process 205, cast iron, gear driven case. The version in the Monogram GM pickups is better, you would think they'd have used the same?
  22. Picked up a '68 Dart two weeks ago at a local show, bashing it with the bits from the L.A. Dart. First steps: 1. Cut the hood free from the L.A. Dart, fit to the Revell '68 body 2. Cut off the front fender "corner extentions" from same 3. Also remove quarter panel "corners" from the '70 4. Remove the same corners from the '68 These corner pieces are separate on the 1:1, so that'll make it easy and accurate! Looks like the hardest part of this conversion will be scratching (or modifying a kit piece that's close) a front bumper, and adding the correct shape/extension to the '68 trunklid. Glued the front and rear valences in place on the '70 in preparation for the cuts
  23. Wow! That's HOT!
