  1. I was thinking about adding something to the back window and may be some side curtains...... just toying around with the idea...
  2. Sounds like me I stock up on stuff I may never run out of LOL....
  3. Those are sweet i have a bunch of gamer pieces, they call em bits check to see if you have any gamer stores in your area they sell left over pieces like these skulls as bits and they usually start at just 5 cents each and up love the gamer pieces.
  4. That's how I am when I go to hobby lobby, never go to the model area ever unless to see if they marked down anything but i spend hours in all of the other departments, where the skull and cross bones came from is the scrap booking section, it has gotten bad for me thou because no matter where I go i spend more time looking for model bits then what im shopping for even my wife gets mad at me every time i go somewhere its not just for a few mins can turn into hours., its fun to do thou
  5. These are the seats that will be in the finished product. I like these, the skull and cross bones are the back of the seat and the wood beads again will be the head rests. I may put a small little something to raise the bottom slats up off the bottom of the interior but may not.
  6. I totally gave up on the old seat idea, will still use the wood beads for the head rest but was pulling my hair out try to keep the two wires together to get the beads and metal stringers on them so tossed that idea, this idea was ok was not keen about the button tufted seats on the inside but ok. However I tossed these as well as I have found what I will be using for the seats...
  7. Gator, now thats an idea on french the headlamps as they stick out a great deal, if I had a second kit it would not be so scary cutting into the fenders, may try to find another kit just in case I botch the job and run the fenders, not to confident but will give it a whirl....
  8. The bottom picture the headlamp was starting to fall so its a little low in front but closer to where it will be installed, im thinking ill have to carve a foundation for the lamps to fit the fender...
  9. Mocked up the lights like this location but will do some more playing around with local...
  10. After looking at the mock up i can see the frame thickness is too thick and i need to thin it all the way around as well, i like the look but need to tweak it till it looks right or just go with the first one i made.
  11. Gator, i like that idea gonna give it a try.
  12. Gator, let me know what you had in mind for location of the headlights, It may be a much better location than what I posted, after I cut if off and looked at the fenders it was not the location I had in mind when I first seen the hot wheel, I am totally open for any ideas...
  13. Looking at the green clear plastic may try to make them into surfboards or attach to a surfboard.
  14. The pieces after taking apart!
  15. I was in the supermarket the other day and saw these hot wheels and right away ideas came to mind, for 1 the colors, and thinking of using the front of the cars as headlights, and the fenders for something in the interior, and liking the green plastic pieces still thinking about those. I do like the colors i think they work together for a tiki theme, I originally was thinking ivory and doing a weathered look using the salt method, and after seeing these thinking of going with something to match these colors.
  16. That would be cool I actually like how yours came out it looks actually more realistic I am going to try to do it your way.
  17. When you had mentioned it earlier about using the paper for the brackets that vision came to mind when i can find another piece of curved plastic I am gonna try my idea that I have in mind.
