The Freaky Tiki

Gator, I may try that with the bones, I am thinking even after that work is preformed that they will look as if they are way out of scale but will give that a try for sure..... -

had some time to work on ideas on this one last night, removed the seat from the interior tub, this one I have decided will not have opening doors, to much is depended on the interior tub holding the dashboard and lining up the firewall that I have decided to just keep it factory, I took out the factory seat thou because I like the look of these seats from the Munster mobile. Playing around with some items on the sides of the bed and thinking of bones for making some Nerf bar bumpers.... -

Just what I DO NOT need, another two to three year build but had this one in my mind for a year or so now and have been collecting bits and pieces for it, everything in the photo will try to incorporate into the build, a tiki inspired build.... may take some time for updates because I have two other builds going on the egyptian raider and strippers delight, but thought that I would finally make a start with it...

Great subject and yes three digit figures, the article says 70000 yen =577.00 us dollars, but with all the detail they are talking about if you can afford it would be a lot of fun to build....

got a little bit more done on this build, having an issue figuring out the exact location of the cab, I really have a hard time with the way they did the exploded view of the instructions wayyyyy back when but getting some progress.....playing with the seat cushion out of foam and getting the engined wired....

great idea probably get kits and supplies pennies on the dollar, its just sad to see the economy taking all the once great local hobby shops I live in a city of just over a mill in population and 1 hobby shop and if that goes mail order or just rely on hobby lobby, sign of the times, can't keep printing money with nothing to back it, but nuff said its sad. Hope it turns around tho some day!!!

I just discovered this build and now that i was able to pick my jaw up off the floor and get a few breaths in I have to say I am blown away by the creativity and shear workmanship in this thing, beyond wow holy molly mother of well you get the idea, i am getting my popcorn ready and will be here when it finally goes to under the glass!!! well done and very beautiful.... -

I really want to get more progress done with this one for sure, I am slammed at work right now with not a single day off till Halloween then we jump back into working straight thru days in November this is our busy season at work so Ill get what time I can on this one and on the Egyptian raider, that project is stalled now due to feeling over whelmed with all the work that it still needs. Hoping to get an hour here and there on this one thou will have an update hopefully soon.
