  1. I had one piece left from cutting the pyramid and liked how it looked, only had one piece so I decided to use the silly putty method to mold 1 piece for the other side so I did not have to make a mold that I would never use again, silly putty is perfect for that. this is just an idea as there is a lot of going on any way with all the decoration but playing around with ideas...
  2. actually got more done and went in a different route than originally where I was going with the bed.....
  3. No update for a while, finally decided that the mess in the model laboratory was getting to be to much, could not even find half of the pieces I needed or the little pieces for the project so I cleaned it up..... as far as the build goes about the only thing been working on is deciding the final design of the bed of the truck so I decided to do a foam surround on the top of the bed like I did on the last two builds.... and here is the final design of that bed cover....
  4. sweet thanks for sharing will use next build....
  5. Got this little bike at an indoor flea market and it will not go in the egyptian raider build just be bed fodder for another build but only have the egyptian raider to show size and have the 1966 riviera bike to show that its close to 1/25th scale....
  6. gonna have to go back to our out door flea market that is a steal for that much congrats.........
  7. Sounds good will have to try it out but I have had great experience using the regular tamiya tape using an exacto with two blades in it and can curve pretty hard, but maybe this will be even better..........
  8. true very true....X-acto for sure.

  14. I love that website Modelencylopedia, its amazing how inventive they used to be in the sixties and seventies with model building very cutting edge for the time.
  15. Yes very good stuff and not only buildings but I have seen guys carefully pull the top layer of paper off of it and then shape it to look like bricks and exterior materials on those buildings...... here's a link to that webpage this guy is an artist with the foam board.....he even shapes the ferrule of old paint brushes to foam the blocks totally cool. http://www.009.cd2.com/members/how_to/nouaillier_a.htm
  16. used to love that column very awesome stuff there..................
  17. small update, decided that it needed at least two batteries for the hydros and that a good spot would be under the bed attached to the frame. There will be one on either side. this is pretty much the final design of the bed of the truck, its cramped with a lot going on but it has all that it needs three amps, three speakers, two hydro pumps and will have the cylinders coming up thru the bed just in front of the cylinders...

  22. I know where your coming from, just to get some well needed supply staples for my budget right now is like winning the lottery, I love the colors they have in lacquer line up my all time fav is the rootbeer lays down flawlessly and covers wonderfully have to try that lime color thou.
  23. another little update planning on adding taillights to the sarcophagus on the fenders, the final attempt on a hood hinge and it came out great, very little pulling on it as it opens, now all ill need to add once the inner fenders are in is a prop rod to hold it up.... and another star wars themed treasure....
