  1. Thanks Carl, yes at this stage I do lot of fooling around with the gamer bits to see what works, not liking the original bumpers on it so have to change them up a bit.
  2. Thank you Bill and Carl, not much of an update got the tail on the car and some resin casted pieces under the the car on the frame, also tried out a set of supremes and I like the look of them over the wires, but not sure if they will be the final wheels....
  3. Thank you for the responses, and by the way love the 58 ford that is a super clean build. You guys have totally steered me in the right direction and every response has helped me, thank you for your time and input I will for sure want to go the brighter route and will experiment with a lighter base coat.
  4. I have used the chrome all the time but have never used the pale gold, my question is does the gold get the same base coat of gloss black?
  5. Yes awesome tip thank you for sharing...
  6. Thanks Carl and Jake, yeah that particular kit of the 1932 was one of the worst engineered models I have ever worked with and the interior did not even line up with the doors and door panels. Going this route and will either care hieroglyphics in the foam or something like that.
  7. wow been working on this same kit , not even close to your skills but will be watching with great interest as this is one piece of art you are a master at this, thank you for sharing.
  8. I decided I had to come up with a plan for the 1932 interior, I went from resin to foam with button tufted patterns to this made out of the urethane foam....It made for a wide interior so would be going with a single seat and a center mounted steering wheel. The more I look at it the more that I am not sure if it will stay this way but better than what I had before which was nothing.... rough formed the foam to fit the body... got it shaped closer to the finished shape. decided the seat back needed more detail...
  9. wow love these kits !!!!!! always love the Japanese type stuff.
  10. the kit is not complete its missing the decals, and the helicopter, and motor to make it run , other than that its all there. May just keep it to build it as is. not sure yet.
  11. Thank you Slusher, i found my stash of larger chain so will be remaking a larger chain wheel and add the cross bars to make the interior wheel, I made one for my last build the aztec warrior they are real easy to make.
  12. Nothing really to update on the truck itself however did do some work on statues for the loot....
  13. the weirdest kit in my stash as of today, just picked this one up at my local hobby club......
  14. picked this strange kit up at my local hobby club....
  15. got a better pic outside (almost a little too bright now) and the start to my real chain steering wheel this is the start of it then to add the bars......
  16. Ill try to get a better pic tomorrow in the sun light.
  17. ok enough of the hood hinge now to get back to work on track, I like to model the engine with actual pulleys and tape for the belt but ran out of machined pulleys so i decided to try my hand at scratch building and think these pulleys came out pretty good. Only have my cell phone camera and hard to get a good shot of them but here goes.
  18. well had a little set back on this build and will have to rebuild the walls of the truck around the firewall. I tried every possible shape for the hinges but could not get the hood to open on the hinges with out having to pull the hood up as you open it so i gave up. I will either use this double jointed hinge or no hinge at all. :-\
  19. wow that truck is super detailed the best one I have ever seen, what scale is it and what did you add to the frame for that texture?
  20. I remember when the tijuana taxi and rommels rod original issues were going on there and selling actually close to a hundred dollars and more then revell reissued them I bet the ones that paid anywhere from a hundred to two hundred dollars felt like an idiot.
  21. Thanks Carl, yeah that fire wall was pretty busy looking for a 50 chevy but I like em looking clean and custom like I always say stock sucks.....
