  1. awesome thank you for sharing....
  2. Ok i think I have my head back into this one! been doing some more work on it and decided to go with the full cab and cut out a pyramid design in it like the aztec warrior, kinda like the pyramids of Giza..... more updates to come soon....
  3. have a little update, been playing with the layout of the bed. I have some much stuff to add but want to do it in an appeasing way as to not get to clutter or too goofy!!!
  4. Mostly because I over engineer every build. or it gets to a point that is very complicated and instead of just doing a quick out of box stock slump build i end up starting another totally over engineered super detailed build and another and another and can never get them finished.
  5. that is an age old question however in my situation I like to have at least two kits when Im building the way I do in case I lose a part or for trucks you can use the bed for a trailer that matches the truck. I just like having a back up if I mess up on a kit like opening up the doors you can use the other kit for the doors and the original kit for the body and not have to add strip styrene to straighten up the door openings. some like the same kit cause its there fav car or the kit is so easy and care free to put together.
  6. I actually am on the fench i like both, voted for actual photo because its nice to see what it would build into when finished, but how about the artwork drawing illustration be on the face of the box and photos of the actual kit on the sides?????? the best of both worlds....
  7. Thanks Jose I usually do been having a real hard time with inspiration on this, done a lot of searching on line and see a lot of the artifacts that came from the tombs and the tombs them selves but very hard to wrap it all together in a model format. Even easier getting inspiration for the strippers delight (short of hitting a strip club that is) but this one not so much......
  8. Small update i gave up on the 65 and went back to the 50 chevy and here a little update, getting work done on cleaning up parts and working on trailer. A few different ideas for the trailer... making an interior with a hieroglyphic back drop may do that on the 32 as well.
  9. Thanks Bill yes going to do something with it finding out its a horribly engineered kit the dash board does not even come close to fitting the body.
  10. I never buy kits there selection is pretty bad but I buy a lot of detail parts there out of the jewelry section and scrap booking section.
  11. very nice!!!!
  12. wow that thing is super clean very awesome build !!!!!!!!
  13. Thanks James, this took a back seat for now had some things to take care of will be back on it soon thou a lot of ideas came to mind over my break from building.
  14. super cool updates man i bet you could do the real thing instead of a model but this is the best build I have ever seen and its all metal................. it has to weigh at least 20 lbs. awesome job.
  15. Thanks Randy, i finally got around to getting back to this one. Finally getting somewhere on this build and have a small update. decided to go for cutting out the doors.... this is just an idea for the doors, it may stay this way or go another route, this is the part of the build of just playing around with it to gain ideas....... another idea for the bed, mocking it up and toying with ideas.... mock up of the engine, mummy machine air cleaner and pulleys from the ends of guitar strings, they are gold so that will work out good with the overall look and paint job which should be off the wall on this one i hope.
  16. ok getting back into this one, spent some time opening up the doors, I really did not want to do it but it gives such good access to the interior by doing this so I went for it. also playing with ideas for the trailer with the 32 on it which I will call the pharaohs rat rod, it wont leave much space for the other goodies taken from the tomb but ill figure that one out later......
  17. well after going thru about 6-9 trucks decided to go with the 1965 chevy pickup, getting some resin casting on and finally getting a feel for this build.
  18. thanks Pim, tiny update found more stuff for the raider, and getting closer on the roof cut out.
  19. small update, working on the bed of the truck , making a sealed bed but with a compartment that will open and hopefully slide out when im done with it...
  20. actually just went to the fair to see it made first place lowrider truck and best of show as well...... actually just went to the fair to see it made first place lowrider truck and best of show as well......
