  1. Thanks for the info guys. I figured they where good but just wanted to double check before I placed an order with them.
  2. I was looking to order one of there Ford trans kits, body, frame, inter tub, bumpers and tail lights. how good of a casting are they? do you need to spend weeks thining the body and inter tub to get them to look good? Ive ordered other parts from them but its been over a year and have never ordered a body from them.
  3. Thanks for the info guys. I think I have one of the parts pack ford motors looks like it time to dig for some parts
  4. where can I find a nice big block ford motor needs to be 1/25 scale. I would like to fine one that has a hilborn inj set up aftermarket or on in a kit. Need two of them one for a gasser build & one for a street machine build, S/M doesn't have to be inj. would like one with a nice two carb set up. Thanks
  5. trying to find out when entry deadline is. its three day car show with model contest but I cant find any info about model entry
  6. try wgetting the parts wet than place them in the freezer for a day or two. never tryed vinagar before herd it works. I have found that luck has a lot to do with getting them apart without damage.
  7. my last SBC was a 331 it was a std bore 350 with .030 327 11.5:1 with small journal 327 rods 307 crank turned down to fit rods with iron eagle heads. that thing would turn some rpms I would shift it at 7200 it would quit pulling at 7300. use to run 12.90's driving it to the track. car never would hook in the first 60ft even with DOT slicks. Once the BBC is back together i will be going to a bolt in 4 link setup with a ford 9in and will be able to go to a 12in tire should hook then. Sounds like you are going to have a nice motor when your done. Whats it going in?
  8. I am running a 468 BBC with h-beam rods, SRP .100 dome pistons, LS6 steal crank, elderbrock X-c96 crossram intake, going to solid roller cam set up. with turbo 400 rev vavle body & trans brake. this is in my 78 Z28 camaro 10" tire 4:10gears street car full interior all steal body except hood. I would love to build a 600 plus cube motor next, but think I would do that for a drag race only car. Ya I don't port any of my heads myself. Takes to long to do it buy hand and for what it cost to have the pros do it is worth the extra cost to me, at least I know it will make a differance if they do it.
  9. Mark I got the cnc ported heads. I got the pro-elite heads very nice product for the money. sales people are very good and know what they are doing and help with all my questions before I ordered them. If you have to order them from over here call Chris Ryan ext.581 he helped me alot. I will be ordering my roller cam setup in the next week or so from him also.
  10. got a few thing this past week. best was my RHS alum. ported & polished heads for my big block chevy, 57 ford, vandel van for the mini bike.
  11. Thanks for the info I will have to check my Meijer's out on the way home from work tomorrow.
  12. nice build, reminds me of a freinds 1/1 62 dodge dart that was tubbed with a slant 6 in it very cool.
  13. Thanks Brian. I can't wait to these kits out on the store shelfs & A big thanks to Moebius for some kick butt model kits here lately. Keep them comin and I'll keep buying them.
  14. may have missed it in the 7 pages of posts, but is there a release date for the ford truck yet?
  15. rat rods will never die there will always be broke hot rodders out there.
  16. dirty, unclean and way more motor than u need thats how i view a rat rod. I consider my 78 z28 to be a newer rat rod beat up nasty looking and one heck of a big block and 10.5 DOT cheater slicks.
  17. wow didn't know they made that many parts packs. would be real cook if they would reissuie the grease bikes.
  18. didn't get anything model related today but I did score a vintage Edelbrock X-C96 crossram intake. will look super cool on my 468 bbc in my 78 Z28 Camaro. just had to share that been looking for one for a few years now.
  19. that's an expensive rat rod you built. looks good, good luck at the show
  20. wow that is going to be a hard paint job to recreate. good luck. nice job on the bed.
  21. This is something that I am very happy to hear about. I will be getting a bunch of these kits.
  22. It's an ok kit, I think. Building is just not that good. Tools in the kit are good but are dated to the 60's or70's era. You may want to look into SMBC and modelcarjunkyard. I got a bunch of tools and shop equipment from SMBC, very nice parts and delivered within the stated delivery time 6 to 8 weeks. I got the gas station book from modelcarjunkyard. Its an ok book you have to print the blue prints out for 1/25 scale. It's not as good as there barn book but you can build a nice gas station from it you could also alter the plans a little and build it just as a two bay repair shop. Hope this info helps some
  23. I like it. Should look real nice once you put the cables on. I may have to try and locate one of them to build. I wish Revell would do a parts pack line that carried all the motor cycles they made in 1/25 and all the mini bikes the made over the years that where 1/25 scale.
  24. I have there barn book and just got there texaco gas station book and am working on the gas station now. they post some nice stuff on there facebook page
