  1. Hi guys, Back with a new built, this time a 1969 Pontiac convertible ( just in time for the end of summer ) from mpc. A highly modified kit as I've use the Revell underside just to have a detailed chassis, OHC engine is the one on the box with some detailing, interior has been upgrade with hte Revell Firebird door panel which were way more accurate than the original flat MPC one, it's my first time with the use of MCG photoetch kit which was very useful in this case with the right "OHC six" and "Sprint" emblems. Wheels are a mix of old Johan one with some AMT bottom and MCG material, tires are the red lines from AMT. Now the hard part of the deal : the hood, the one provide in the MPC kit was the T/A model, the one in the Revell kit was the inaccurate Ram Air one. So I've mix the Street Machine hood with a part of the stock one to have the good model. Unfortunatly, I don't know if it's part of the modification or maybe the painting process but I couldn't get it straight !!!! Maybe the body wasn't that straight also so I think I will show it with the open hood, anyway I let you judge. I've modified the front headlight also to have more accurate look, I've rechrome the front bumper/grill with BMFas the original one was tired. Windshield is from the Revell kit also. Hope you'll like it anyway !!!
  2. Nice built and nice pics !!! Gorgeous !!
  3. Very nice AMX
  4. Well done, I like the german license plate on it !!! Looks pretty close to your 1/1, only the original sits a bit higher on the rear !!
  5. Very nice !!! Is it a resin body or a Johan one ? To me this kit is one of the best Muscle Car kit available, still have to build mine also....
  6. Very nice, those kits were very well designed, make me think I still haven't built one yet.....
  7. Nice stuff here !!!
  8. Very very nice, looks like ti was designed that way, superb !!!
  9. Very nice !!! My Dad had a station wagon 65 Merc a long time ago white with blue interior, I might reproduce it someday, starting with a 66 kit with some 65 bumpers.....
  10. SAme for me, but I like the outside look with that beautiful metalic red and the Torque Thrust with red line tires !!
  11. Very very nice !!! We can see you're "at home" with those car !!!! How did get the white stripes on the body ? Decals ? I would like to build a replica of the Jay Leno's one which is really gorgeous, let's say it's on my list !!!
  12. Good to see my little Dodge bring back some good memories. You point a double mistake I've made Harry, when collecting pictures before doing the kit, I've seen some with this on rear window but that was the one with rear wiper option, which my kit didn't have, and if it was the case, it should be a little more on the left side
  13. Nice build !!! ;)
  14. Thanks, in the MPC kit you have parts to build a very close version of the Laser !!!
  15. Thanks for the nice comments, no the decals I put on the seats are from Scale Motorsport. The original interior provide in the kit is supposed to be the leather one
  16. And the last one...
  17. Some more pics :
  18. Hi guys, Back with a new built, something "different" for a change, a 84 Dodge Daytona. This kit is the one from MPC, built box stock. I only ad some decals form scale motorsport for the seats. Paint is from Tamiya ref TS92 on a silver paint. We have forget how good these MPC kits were, very good details and very nice overall line, I remember at the time I was more with the Monogram kits because they were easier to build but finally those MPC models are more detailed. Inspiration is from a TV show I was looking at when I was a kid : Rick Hunter. It was the car of the nice woman called Dee Dee Mc Call for the who remember. I've always liked these little Dodge, there were very potent car. I have a souvenir with one of these, it was around 86/87, I was in south Germany for working in a school learning job, and I was doing a lot of hitchhiking at the time, one of my favorite "occupation" was to look at some of the US soldier which were at the bases around, and try to catch one... And for once, a US soldier took me for a ride in a.... Dodge Daytona TurboZ, what a car, I was very impressed at the time by the power and how fast it was !!!! Well here it is and I hope you'll like it
  19. Thanks for the nice comments, glad you like it
  20. Very nice job and color choice !!!

  24. Hi guys, Back with.... an old built this time, this Fury was built maybe 15 years ago, my BMF job wasn't that good at the time. Anyway, I like it as I've done the job to have a "right" Fury model, and after cleaniong my display and my models, I decide it was time to make good pics of it and present it here to you. Engine was modified with a 57 Chrysler 300 intake manifold and carbs, air cleaner were from an old Johan kit, Fury emblems are from MCG. Hope you'll like it
