  1. Thanks, Yes the AMT 69 Olds chassis is very useful on GM A body, I plan to use one in my 72 GTO sometimes...
  2. Very nice build, it sits a bit too low on the rear for me but really nice detail
  3. Thanks for the nice comments, it was a long time project in my head as I start to collect the things years before. I'm quite happy with the results !!
  4. And to finish the engine bay, which is a mix with AMT and Johan parts Decals from Fred Cady. Hope you'll like it
  5. Some more !!! Some chassis view now :
  6. Hi guys Back with a new built. A 70 Olds 442, started as a Johan kit, with a 69 Olds AMT chassis. Manual trans and console come from the Revell kit, engine is the one from Johan with a Modelhaus air filter. I wanted my Olds full of options so it's got the W27 aluminium axle carrier and cover ( from the 72 Revell Olds ), the D35 sports mirror, the w35 rear spoiler ( which means no stripes on the rear ), and of course the W25 open hood and special air filter ( both from Modelhaus ). I choose the "Super Stock wheels" ( coming from an AMT Chevelle ). Lots of work in the interior as the door panel were very flat so I decide to seperate them and to detail them with some Evergreen and apply some wood decals and foil. Lots of work also on the grill on which I opened the headlight, cut the surrounding of the grill to glue it on the hood... Yu can find the WIP here : Some pics now :
  7. Good, you have to change the bumpers to replicate a 71 I think ?
  8. Thanks, I'm quite happy the way it turns, will work on it tomorrow evening and I'll take some pics !!!
  9. Gorgeous !!! I have one planed for years.... Maybe someday
  10. Hi guys, Thanks for the nice comments, some news about the work on this Olds, interior is quite finished, and the body paint has been polished to a nice shine, I show you which product I used, you can ask questions fi you want !!
  11. Then I glue the 2 "border" on the car, and work on the rear hood portion to fit it between. I didn't resist a little mock up just to show you how it goes, of course the will seat higher once finished Next step is putty to smooth all these modifications, Be patient on this one as I'll not finished it tomorrw
  12. Well, after the Olds, another wip, this time a 74 Camaro, I started with the AMT kit of a 77 AHC-100 model, mixed with a 70 Baldwin model. As it will bring the right hood, a detailed engine bay and chassis, and the right wheels. I would like to reproduce this particular car which has been sold in action http://assets.blog.hemmings.com/wp-content/uploads//2015/04/16.jpg http://assets.blog.hemmings.com/wp-content/uploads//2015/04/031.jpg So on this pic, you can see that I've glued the Ttop in place, and the front and rear valance. The engine bay, rear spoiler, hood will go on the Camaro Then, to have an exact replica, I have to modify the rear window as there not the same between a 77 and a 74 model, so I cut some material on the 70 body and glue it on the 77 : You can see also that the engine bay fits " like a dream" The rear spoiler from the 70 is much more correct than the one from the 77 kit, so I use it, but it was larger than the body, so I cut it in 3 elements :
  13. Then, to open the hole on the bumper, I cut some plastic on the rear After, with some paint, the grill started to look like the real one : flat silver on the grill, a black wash on the holes, and on the light surrounding, I also work on the headlight to have some "clear material" instead of the all chrome ones, some Tamiya amber paint on the turn signal : "et voilà" !!!! I didn't resist for a little mockup so here it is : The body still need to be polished, I'll do some pics of the engine bay details also. Hope it's clear for you as it's not that evident for me to explain you in English what's been done !! Let me know
  14. Hi guys, It's the first time I decide to put some pics here to show you a wip, must I said that it's been a long time I didn't take any pics of my models "on the way". So this is a Johan kit for start, a 69 Olds from AMT gives its chassis, the engine is the one from the Johan kit as I've find it very well molded and detailed. The manual trans came from the Revell Olds 72, as the inside console. I decide also to use the rear end aluminium cover from that kit just have the very rare W27 option. My model will reproduce a very optioned one, as it has the rear spoiler ( W35 ) still from Revell, the special hood and air filter ( W25 ) from Modelhaus, sports mirror ( D35 ) and Super Stock2 wheels ( PO5 ) !!! Decals are from FredCady. On the following pic, you can see the engine waiting for some detail on the side, I decide to work a bit on the interior, as it's quite flat and simple. So I cut the door panels, smooth them, and I cut the kit console to install the Revell one: Then I ad front and rear armrest taken from a built Revell 72, I use some sheet styrene to reproduce the design of the door panel, not seen on tese picture, I've install the power windows switches. Interior is painted gold also, I'll show you once finished. To me, the grill details on a 70ies car is very important, if you look on the real car, it wasn't all chrome, there's a lot of shade of metalic grey, flat aluminium.... So I decide to work a bit on this one, first looking at the real car, the grill surrounding chrome is fixed on the hood not on the grill, so I cut them and glued on the hood :
  15. Nice 2 tone paint job !!!!
  16. I didn't take time to comment this magnificent Buick, what a car !!!!! Gorgeous built
  17. Gorgeous built, I'm really impress by the engine details, carbs, clamps.....
  18. Very nice Coronet !!
  19. Thanks again for the nice comments, the Keystone wheels are from my parts box, but I think they're from an old MPC kit
  20. Thanks for the nice comments
  21. Gorgeous built !!!!
  22. And the last ones !!!
  23. Some more pics
  24. Hi guys Back with a new built, a 56 Nomad from Revell, ( in fact, that was still the Monogram style box...). I wanted a nice cruiser to hire the trailer with my 56 Gasser on, so here it is, try to stay very" 60ies" in my modifications, so it has Keystone wheels all around with red line tires, a 396ci under the hood. Paint is half spray can, half air brush. The trailer is from MPC, same Keystone wheels. This kit was not easy to foil but I'm quite happy of the result. Hope You'll like it !!!
