  1. I finished it a few days ago, I also went with Deathwish. I do plan on playing through a couple more times, going with the different ways of doing the heists and the other two endings. Right now, though, I'm hunting down the Letter Scraps, then the UFO parts, plus finishing up any of the Strangers and Freaks missions.
  2. I'm one of the ones that's on Spotlight, too. I'm also active on Stovebolt.com, which is a pre '72 Chevrolet and GMC truck site. I used to be very active on Gearz, but after they changed the format, and most of the old crew seemed to not post much, I somewhat drifted away from it. Semi model related, I am also registered on Joecustoms.com, a GI JOE action figure customizing site, but haven't posted on there, mainly just lurk and check out the gallery posts for ideas for my own customs.
  3. I have one, haven't built it yet. Very nice piece. As noted, no interior, but the widows, other than the ones at the very front, are really too small for any details to be seen from the outside.
  4. . Close. It's Hirohata, after the original owner, Bob Hirohata. More on the car can be found here http://www.kustomrama.com/index.php?title=Bob_Hirohata%27s_1951_Mercury
  5. I know the sanders you mean, they're pretty neat for getting into tight areas. I got mine from Hobbytown.
  6. The actual car was painted red originally, and was a full fender custom before the alterations to make it into the Milner car. I'm not sure of the exact shade of red, or if the yellow was simply shot over the red. I do seem to recall that Daytona Yellow was the color Lucas picked for it, mainly to make the car stand out.
  7. I'm on PS3, but my co workers that do gaming all have Xbox.
  8. The chassis needs several alterations to be converted into a US spec GM truck, as they were not "standardized". Even between Chevrolet and GMC there are many differences, as GMC did not become a rebadged Chevrolet until about 1968. The Opel frame does make for a good starting point, though, and would only be accurate until 1954.
  9. I haven't been able to get online, either. Xbox seems to be a mixed bag, 3 of the guys I work with were able to get on, but tone of the others has the same problems I'm having.
  10. I wouldn't call any of those vehicles "original". Original means that they are exactly as they were direct from the factory, not having 40-60 years worth of damage from improper storage/weathering and missing/incorrect parts from being picked over. The only reason the prices are what they are is from all the hype. Had he sold them outright, without the hype, the prices would be much lower, adnd closer to the actual value of the vehicles. Yes, the yard I'm thinking of is still there. It's in Tecumseh Indiana, about 6 miles north of Terre Haute.
  11. Most of those cars and trucks aren't worth much more than parts cars, I've actually seen better condition vehicles in junk yards. Even the ones that are in decent shape are not necessarily desirable models, mostly 4 doors and plain no option trucks. But, like the old saying goes, "A fool and his money are soon parted".
  12. Might be worth watching if only to get a laugh at what some of those people paid for those cars. I know that the wrecked Cameo went for far more that it would even be worth if it was in perfect condition.
  13. Bad thing about my reading tastes, they tend to be very dry reading. Mostly tech/shop manuals, the most recent one being the '60-'62 Chevrolet 4x4 and Tilt Cab Supplement. I do read regular books, too, Lord Of The Rings was one of my favorites. I'm currently about 1/3 of the way through Stand On It, which is the book that the movie Stroker Ace is very loosely based on. About the only thing that crosses over from the book to the movie are the character names, the story is nowhere close to the same.
  14. I hear you. The first one wasn't too bad, but the others have been a pain to try to find them. I also ran into a an issue with the one on the top of Mt. Chilliad. Took several attempts to work my way up there (Kept getting killed by police or falling off cliffs ), then when I finally got there, the suspect wasn't there! Second tile I went up, he was there, but bailed before I could nab him, ended up shooting him, lowering the payout.
  15. I have the same map, I'll have to try the black light thing, too.
  16. I went to the Hoosier Swap Meet last Saturday, meant to try to hit Goodguys, too, but by the time we left Hoosier, had lunch, and hit the south Hobbytown and Big 4 Hobbies, it was getting late. However, I did make a pretty good haul. Then there was the one I let get awayYes. it's an original UNBUILT Revell '57 Ford Ranch Wagon!! The seller was asking $400 for it, I considered it, but knowing my luck, Revell would announce a retool body for their current '57 Ford by the time I got home with it And now for a build idea for the Henderson Motorcycle from Motor City Resin
  17. I never said other teams don't do it, they certainly do. But JGR drivers are well known for doing it. They've even been caught doing it, but were not penalized other than an "end of the longest line" penalty.
  18. Correction, Newman does have a sponsor; Caterpillar.
  19. Burton is leaving RCR. Childress only has Newman, Menard, and Dillon in Cup, Menard and Dillon both have sponsors (Menards and Cheerios, respectively). With Budweiser leaving to go with Harvick, they do still need a sponsor for Newman.
  20. So, all the times that Gibb has been caught with illegal equipment (almost always hand waved by Nascar) and the on track "accidents" caused by one JGR driver that benefited the other (mainly Hamlin) counts as "running a tight ship"????
  21. I would be more inclined to think he would go to Furniture Row Racing, they're still looking for a driver, and someone of Truex's caliber would be a good fit.
  22. Well, four brothers and a sister
