  1. I like it, can't see any orange peel, the paint looks real nice. Is that a photo-etch grill on 'er? I like the wheels you used, what kit did they come from? Thanks for posting pics of it. Its very nice work.
  2. Nice start to it so far Walt. There is a 1:1 '70 Torino around my neck o' the woods, looks to be a forrest green and it looks awesome. Can't wait to see more of your build.
  3. Looking great so far Alex. Are the decals from the kit, I have this kit but don't remember it having those decals. Hope to see more progress soon.
  4. They are never too young to start learning about the mechanics of things. Good for you to take the time to show him, You both will remember it for years to come. My uncle helped me build my first models. Your keeping the hobby alive, Thank You.
  5. Nice looking project so far Alex. The wide whites look good on it. Nice choice of color, and its got a hemi. Nice job by you too dad. You have every reason to be proud.
  6. I agree with Brian. I've passed up this kit a few times, but next time I see it I gotta have it, thanks to you. Great build. If this was on the box top, I would never have passed it by.

  10. So today I was reading the Sunday paper and I see a sale paper for Harbor Freight and I see they have a Central Pneumatic 3 gallon, 100psi Oilless pancake Air Compressor on sale with coupon for $39.99. regular price $74.99 That sounded like a great deal, so I wanted to give you guys that are looking for one, a heads up on this. You need the coupon for this savings, but I'm fairly sure they have the sale papers in the store when you enter the front door. Cheers, Ron
  11. Thanks for the heads-up Todd. I ordered mine from Len, got the conformation email today, and its on the way. Can't wait for it to arrive.
  12. Eric, The Model King reissue of the 53/54 Chevy gasser can be built stock. It has stock suspension and the wheel wells are stock. The picture on the box shows the rear wheel wells cut out, as the body has them molded so you can cut them. I have the kit, and looked it over. The only thing is you will need to raid the parts box for tires & wheels, as the kit only has the gasser wheels & tires. So yes, it can be built stock.
  13. Yea boy, that looks like some fun. I don't think I would have the gutz to do 130 in them though, not on that circuit. All the bouncing would cause me to toss up breakfast. LOL
  14. I've lived in Southern Cali all my life, nearly 52 years and have felt lots of em'. The last one we had (that I felt) was about 2 months ago. My wife jumped up out of bed,( it was about 6:30am) and ran to the doorway, I just stayed in bed, and teased her about how that was nothing, and she was starting to act like a tourist. But back in the late '90s the Landers quake scared the bugeebies out of me, I almost set my bed up outside, Its an awfully weird feeling when it happens. You almost always look at each other like, Do you feel that? Its almost like you don't believe it or your not sure whats going on. The small ones are kinda fun though What Gerry says is exactly right.

  17. How fast have you driven a land vehicle? or even as a passenger how fast have you gone? The fastest for me is 118 mph. on my Kawasaki 650. I have had my 2004 Chevy Cavalier up to 110 mph. a few times and its more scary than the bike at that speed.LOL
