RIP Bruce Kraemer

thanks everyone for your kind words and thoughts. -
thanks guys! front clip is all the way Revell made it. i know it looks wierd...the whole car does since it's a car that didn't come with a year on the box so i have to assume it's an '82 or '83. the body doesn't say Ford or Mustang on it anywhere and the horse emblem in the grille is more like a dog or something lol the car had lots of fit issues, but mainly because i put a different chassis under it with tubs and did the rear seat "delete". oh and the fact it didn't have a windsheild, i made that one from another kit to fit this car. the front wheelbase is too wide, but nothing i could do about it. wheels are from AMT '57 chevy vette kit and tires are from revell pro street willys. colors are Autumn Maple Red Metallic by Dupli Color and Platinum by Dupli Color. the Black is all primer by Dupli Color. the Aluminum inside the car is Metalizer by Model Masters shot through my air brush. there is so much aftermarket in the car, it's not easy to list all that haha!

I don't know what to say, but i lost a friend and if you knew him....Bruce Kraemer aka circafrost aka Oddball was killed in a car accident in Las Vegas Dec 25 1968 to July 9 2008 . I am really sad to hear this and thought everyone should know , if you knew him. What a loss...he not only built some really cool models, but was a great guy RIP I have put a folder together showing his models , http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc...-oddball-kraem/

me too, i met you too lol -
I got my print today from Bob Paeth! This guy is so nice and he did so much for our hobby. I told him i would spread the word that he has prints of the Dodge Revellion art work. He came up with the design for this model when it came out, these prints are a must have....i don't care what ya build! A true peice of history! $10 shipped....signed by Bob Paeth himself! comes in a tube so i gotta get a frame to put it in. it's a mini poster. Hosted on Fotki

do you consider model cars art?
RodBurNeR replied to conor1148's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
"if you have a free mind, you will see more than just a model" I agree with much that all of you said. There is a difference between being a rivet counter and "letting yourself go". If you fall into the model and it becomes what is inside of you.....it's expression. If you take it out of the box and follow the instructions and research to find that each color and part is correct, you are building a "peice of history"...archival degree. If the planet is ever in ruins, thank goodness we will have some relics to show us what a Chevrolet Corvette looked like ...maybe we can build another one if we copy the model? hehe Then again......i would rather find that our human existence had "passion".....i could live without seeing another Corvette. (oops..freedom of expression...no harm meant ) 2cents spent -
looks really good! if i may offer a tip? when anyone hosting photos from fotki.com posts a photo and you see "Hosted by Fotki" below the photos, you can click on the photo to see the rest of that album.

i am glad you guys liked it! thanks for the nice comps!
-
thanks guys! well i guess i notice the flaws since i am the worst critic and well..i can see them better lol i am glad to be done with it, it's just a curb side i originally built for the theme in Kansas this last month...just didn't get it done in time.
-
Well, someone said to put it away when you are getting mad at it....come back later and it won't seem so bad. It still looks crappy where my goofups are, but i am happy enough with it to stick in the case and fill some space, hope you like it. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
