  1. Harry, i laughed my buttocks away when i saw that mODELS &Cars
  2. you could start out small. most all shows don't require sellers to have a tax ID. you can go rent a table or two and set up with what you have, sell some and buy more to sell. a lot of guys have been doing that for years and they are now renting 3-4 tables and selling a few hundred kits and more model stuff. sellers at shows usually end up getting good deals on small collections too, since a person might come up and ask you if you want to buy their stuff. just an idea for ya... i will be vending this October if i stay in Omaha. (first time in 9 years) i used to sell at swaps, getting back into it i think.
  3. looks good! i like them decals, have a couple sets saved for something.
  4. Hopefully i can make Toledo, it would be nice to meet you!
  5. thanks for the info guys, i will look around to see if i can find one.
  6. never thought i would say this about a diecast.......but it DOES look nice! would you mind taking a photo of it next to a plastic 1/25th car? i am curious to how close they are , i have never seen a 1/25 diecast before. usually they are way off. this might make me go get one haha!
  7. what part? i live in Omaha, on the border of the two states
  8. great story! that made me laugh actually, cuz it's something i would do too LOL!! some people's kids.....
  9. HMM... well Bob has been a machinist professionaly for over 40 years. His skill is unmatched, i have had product from all over and there are no parts comparable as in "identical". Not arguing, but i know Bob personally as we are related and i am not saying all this because of that... He always tries to offer product that is not made by anyone else, and if it is....his is more accurate and cleaner machine work. (this is also not a bash to any other maker)... Bob uses top quality machinery and his aluminum is T7071 which is well.....HARD and can be polished to the likeness of chrome. (same aluminum found in drag racing parts, car rims, tools and guns) the harder the aluminum, the smoother the initial finish from CNC and Lathe work. Aside the "quality" of the aluminum....the finished product is what counts right? How nice is it to have a set of lake pipes with opening dumps that are actually hinged on bolts with hex nuts? Just some info for ya OH....and before i forget....what about RB Motion? I know you all have seen his stuff on ebay compared in photos next to pennies or dimes.....super small parts and extreme quality also! Check his stuff out .... He doesn't have a web site. http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc...bmotioncatalog/
  10. http://www.evercoat.com/index.aspx
  11. looks like a giant baked potatoe...... Slipknot...###### Iowegians and their cornfield band! oops... best thing to come out of Iowa since Johnny Carson....sad isn't it.
  12. umm Mark, Bob does not have a site.....but if someone needs something , they can contact me.
  13. Bob Dudek.....get you sum! http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc...-dudek-machine/
  14. a dip in lake castrol dries up any unwanted oils..... but seriously, i wash my hands.....but i don't usually pick my models up by the body. i tend to only hold the roof edges where i foiled.
  15. hmm...i have gotten stuff from him not that long ago within last couple months and nothing was white? i don't think he uses it, but maybe he is "trying it"...i talk to him a lot, i will have to ask him.
  16. I didn't see a post for this. Ed Fluck Jr... yep that would be the son of late Ed Sr. aka F&F resin casting. Ed is a very honest, fast shipper, beautiful product always comes to the door! Cheap by my standards in price also. I thought in case some have not heard of him, check his site. www.dragcitycasting.com You won't be disappointed...i have many of his kits and parts!
  17. just wanted to say i use Paypal and have been for several years. I have a merchant account so i can accept credit cards. i DO get charged fees for receiving funds, no matter what they pay with. i DON'T get charged for sending money to anyone. i USED to have a regular account in which was private and i did NOT get charged for receiving....it's just the merchant accounts that do. my personal feelings are WHY DOESN'T EVERYONE IN THIS HOBBY STOP SELLING AND BUYING MODELS ON EBAY ALLLLLL ON THE SAME DAY AND START SELLING ON EMODELCARS.COM THAT SAME DAY????? it would not be that hard?...make some youtube videos, send emails to everyone you know, post about it on all the forums and groups you belong to, call your friends, if you have a web site PROMOTE emodelcars as the PLACE TO BUY AND SELL and ESTABLISH A DATE for this all to take place! sure...there will still be stuff on ebay, but them people are NOT modelers! they are people who sell everything.....but don't build models like we do! (they will eventually catch on) i think there is more than enough people on this forum to spread this around to a few thousand people......if you follow through, it will work! hey...if they can spread the word around the country to stop buying gas on Tuesday .....why can't we stop selling models on ebay and make the BIG SWITCH to a FREEEEEEEE site that has all the categories we need and don't have to surf through piles of diecast to find what we want? BIG BONUSES !!!! NO FEES.....imagine all the money you can save and start making your money back! imagine how GOOD it is for the hobby! what this hobby needs is for more modelers to help modelers....even in the pocket book. not only is www.emodelcars.com FREE....but it's owned by Gregg, the guy that owns this forum and the magazine we all love! yeah sure....paypal is an option, so take the option and use it to get paid QUICK , it's not hard to transfer the money to your bank .....heck anyone that uses paypal is going to understand that 3 day waiting period to transfer IF you don't have a Paypal VISA to get the money faster? OH and you can pay shipping ONLINE with your Paypal account! check into .....those who don't know PS....i don't have a soap box, it sold on ebay for $15.00 and ebay allowed me to keep some of my money......
  18. might have more than this now, does look different a little now, i change things around once in awhile, but basically my models are above the bench and my computer desk. they are next to each other, i can build while checking the boards and chatting with model buddies. there are boxes you can't see in this photo, mostly full of old built ups from the 60s that need rebuilt. Hosted on Fotki
