  1. Bob... no the the price isnt too bad. I have sent the files to a good friend to have him print them for me bit I am going to also order a set of each from shapeways so I can compare the quality of all of them. I have other parts that I want to model up and have printed. Part of my reason is because certain things I want for builds no one makes. I have also beening thinking about making them avaliable to anyone else who would like them and can use them on their builds as well. I know 1/16th scale is a harder market to find parts available for but what ever I do in 1/16th scale could easly be scaled for another scale. Since I am drawing thr parts up in 1:1. Its easy enough in the CAD program I use to scale them down. As far as progress on the build i started back on the vavle covers last night and hope to have some updated pics tonight to share. Simon... let me scale them down to 1/24 and I will let you know what price shapewaya calculates for those materials. I would think that for 1/24 to get the detail is that they would need to be the frosted ultra detail.
  2. Brad... I am loving the progress you have made. The frame is looking killer. i sure cant wait to see more. I think that maybe you took a few of Johns Minions and oit them to work... can I borrow one so I can get that motiviation back on my funny car, i feel I am in a little slump but it just may be that I havent gotten any bench time in thebpast 2 weeks...lol gonna work in it tonight when I get off work.
  3. Brett.. grogeous work man. It looks great
  4. Scott... you couldn't be more correct about it being a blessing and acurse focusing on these little details. Don't stop what you are doing, I have no doubts that you will be able to execute everything the way you want to. I know you have a vision in your mind hoe you want this to turn out and I know you will be able to achieve it. I am the same way and feel i have been in a slump with my funny car the past few weeks. I need to get back to the bench and get that fire back. I am looking forward to seeing you get the new photo-etch. I am sure it will fit and look great. Keep up the encouraging work here.
  5. Beautiful work Brett... looking good!
  6. Brad... I think he is teasing us here... I bet he has finished 2 other models by now...lol Either that or his Minions took a vacation....haha
  7. Scott... I admire your attention to detail on the little things. You remind me alot like myself striving to capture everything we can on our builds. This build is coming along great and I look forward to more. Awesome work my friend.
  8. Clay... Every Update tops the previous one. This is just one Incredible build you have here. I am amazed at your talent. Those pulleys are very nice and love seeing the chassis as a roller. Can't wait for the next update. Keep on doing what you are doing because you are Killing It!
  9. Nice collection you got there.they all look great.
  10. Tyrone.... This is coming along beautiful. That is cool that one day you may do a bigger scale build. I hope you know that I like teasing you about doing a 1/16th scale build. I see your talent here and how I love your builds. I can only imagine the detail you would put into a bigger one cause you kill these 1/25th scale builds.
  11. Ira nice work. It turned out great.
  12. John... Very nice build. It looks great.
  13. This is gonna be a great build and it's off to a good start.keep up the great work.
  14. Very Nice collection you got there.
  15. A '51 Merc would be sweet!! I would love to see some modern drag racing kits in 1/16th scale.... Top Fuel Funny Car, Top Fuel Dragster and Pro Stock.
  16. I always love watching your builds come together. You have these builds down. I just keep waiting for you to do one in 1/16th scale ... seeing the detail you put into these 1/25th scale ones. I can only imagine what you could do with the next size up. Keep up the great work.
  17. Joe... That is looking good. Keep up the great work.
  18. Tyrone... You are rocking this build my friend. Every little detail is just killer. Keep at it and I can't wait to see your next update. Those rear rims are flat out Bitchen'
  19. Bob... I just got done uploading the breathers to shapeways to see what they would cost. Here are prices Shapeways calculated for me on the following materials: White, Strong & Flexible - $1.63 ea Frosted Detail - $5.23 ea Frosted Ultra Detail - $5.33 ea
  20. Very cool thank you.... looks like it is more of a rendering program vs CAD program.
  21. Cube... that is cool you modeled it up too. I checked it out and it looks nice. What CAD program did you use? I was trying to measure it. Was curious what the bolt hole spacing was as well as the height length and width.
  22. Mark.... I will definitely get a set made for you and will let you know when I get them. Thats awesome you are working on the new manifold, just remember no rush on it since I am not evem close to starting that project yet ,so if you have other things you need to work on or take care of I completely understand. I really want to see you get back to your Jewel T project. I hear you on having the weather cool down. I have been wanting to paint some parts bad with my air brush and since i spray on the side of my house I have held off on spraying with the humidity and hot weather here right now during our monsoon season. Yeah i did talk to scott about doing butterflies because I was trying to figure out the best way to scratch build them and thought I would ask him about if he would be interested in doing photo etch ones since I am trying to capture as much detail as I can with this funny car. That sounds cool about the new bug catcher. You know I was able to find some dimensions to some bug catchers and I had someone kind enough to tell me about a website that had the info. I should draw and model them up in solidworks. I have to be honest that ever since I have started this build and got this 426 hemi from you I wouldn't use anyother 1/16th scale resin engines on my builds now. Your engines are the best resin engines in the business. So thank you for always going that extra mile for us 1/16rh scale builders. Bob... thank you for the kind words. I havent gotten a price on them yet but as soon as I sent them to shapeways to quote them I will let you know how much they will charge.
  23. Hey Mike keep us posted when you get things up and going again. I know there are a few sets of wheels I have been wanting to order from you, I just have gotten busy with life and haven't had the chance to order them. On another note now that you are in Dallas, you need to go check out Gas Monkey Garage. Its a pretty cool place. I visited it when was back there last summer. Also you need to find a Torchy's Taco's and try their food. When I was visiting Austin, Tx and went to Austin Speed Shop one of the managers recommended it to us so we ate at one in Austin and had to have it again when we were in Dallas. I will say this, they are some killer tasting tacos.
  24. Brad... Awesome work my friend. I hope that you got my email because doing this in 1/16 would be so cool. How about one in 1/25 & one in 1/16th...lol. Also if need be I could draw this chassis up for you in solidworks and make some scale prints for you. Just a thought
  25. Psst....Brad you need to build this in 1/16th scale.... ?
