  1. Brad.... hey Buddy glad you are checking in. I do have an update to show just disnt get a chance to do anyrhing last night or get on my computer to post pics. My Dog was acting funny and walking with a limp yesterday when I got home from work. i was trying to figure out how he hurt it. Just hope it is a pulled muscle and nothing bad at all. Needless to say I was stressing aboit it. So I was keeping an eye on him and am taking gim to the vet here in a little bit. I will get pics up when i get home this afternoon of the car and planning in getting in some bench time as well.
  2. Guys... i apologize I didn't get pics up yesterday like I said I was. I was out of town all day and was too tired to get to the bench or even turn the computer on when I got home. I will post some pics tonight for you.
  3. Glenn... Thank you. I did get some bench time in this evening and finished up the bodywork on the tins. I also got another couple coats of primer on it and letting it dry. I will have some pics up of it tomorrow and hoping to get some work done on the engine.
  4. Jimmy.... very cool idea.... you got any pics of your test shots by chance.
  5. Jimmy.... it was cool how everything back then was painted. Thanks for the heads up on the you tube videos od Kenny Youngblood. I will have to check them out for sure.
  6. Chuck... nice work on this. It looks great.
  7. Bob.... I do have to agree with you that it needs to be thinned out at those spots. As far as the rear window piece goes, I think I will make one out of plastic as a template to check the fit out. I would love to be able to take a stab and make a photoetch piece out of brass for the rear window. I havr a few ideas how I am gonna approach the rear window and Ibmay end yp trying them all to see which tur s oit better.
  8. Robert.... Thank you so much. I appreciate it. That's what I was looking for.
  9. Hello All... I have a general question and I have tried searching on the forums and for the life of me I can't find what I am looking for. Some time ago I ran across a thread where someone posted a link to a photobucket or fotki picture site for many of Modelhaus's resin body's. I made the mistake of not bookmarking it but thought I did. If anyone happens to have the link would you mind posting it please. Thank you very much
  10. Scott.... every update you post just amazes me. You are hitting every little detail and its all gonna pay off. This build is just gorgeous. Keep up the great work
  11. Jeff.... this is looking great. Love you work my friend. I would say that the primer was probably dry and nice and hard by now....lol Its great to see you back building. I can't wait to see more of the Chevelle Pro Mod you were working on. You should jump in with a 1/16th scale build too
  12. Hey Bob.... Here are a few shots I edited with some red arrows to make sure I was understanding the areas you were talking about and this is what I understood that was a little thick....lol
  13. Jimmy... the video is pretty sweet to watch. Yep you are correct about some of the pics. As the video was playing I would pause it and hit print screen and then paste it into my photoshop program, crop and save he pic. It was the inly way I could find more pics of the car besides what was on the snake racing website of the vega. Thats all I have to go by... lol
  14. Bob... I think i know what you are tslking about. I will add a photo of the body and wing later when I get home and I will add an arrow to it to make sure i am understanding. But on the real car I belive you are talking about the area in the white color portion on the rear of the car, correct? I will definity take a look at it and you know I will need to fix it...lol
  15. Jimmy... that sure is a small world huh. Thank you for sharing
  16. Dave.... Thank you so much Buddy! Jimmy... Thank you. You are right that race teams change things up all the time...lol. Bob.... Thank you so much. I knew were you were coming from on the spoiler. The spoiler that came in the kit was completely wrong in my opinion. Here are some shots of the spoiler of the real car as promised. I apologize that some of the pics aren't better but they are all I was able to find on the innerweb Bob I will take a look at the You Tube video to see if there is any good shots I can screen capture of the spoiler as well.
  17. Clay... That is one fantastic update. Those tubs look killer. I admire your work. This build just keeps getting better with each update. I am already looking forward to the next update on this Awesome build.
  18. Bob... thank you. You know I had to get the correct number of rivets in the spoiler. You can go back to the ref pic of the real car and you will see there is 19 there . I will be back in the motor really soon.... hopefully tonight. I need to add some more vindo to my tins and another coat of primer then its time to go back ti the engine. Mike... thank you my friend. You know i have to make a jig for a bunch if things. It helps me keep thinks straight...lol it worked perfect in this situation. Bob... I will get some pics up of the real car when I get home from work to show you. I know the real car they bend the lip unlike how I didt it but at first I wasnt sure if I was gonna add the lip or not because I didnt think i could bend such a small lip as to why i chose to add hebpiece the way I did and I know the piece i added was a little thicker than the main spoiler.
  19. John... hey brother this is beautiful. You are my hero. Keep up the great work. This looks to be real close to being done. Tou are in the down hill stretch. Nice work buddy
  20. Joe... thank you for the kind words rob away....lol I actually watched a you tube video from Dr. Cranky to see how to do the salt technique. All though i now need to buy some sea and rock salt because i jist used regukar table salt and Dr Cranky uses a mixture of a few. Wayne... thank you for the information and words of encouragement. I am definitely gonna layer the paint now and just hope my first try at this extreme westhering turns out ok. i know I will be doing some dry brushing techniques and i also have some tamiya weathering pastels (i think thats what it was called) i will be trying out.
