Pat the 2:1 is what was recommended. when I sprayed my 1/16th scale FED... I mixed them 1:1. you are right that the koncentrates are to be added to clears, candies or basecoats. Virgil I will have to check them out

I would be proud to have it sitting on my shelf thats for sure. now you can jump to a 1/16th scale build.....hint hint

Richard... thanks man. I am happy with how its looking and where its going. Greg.... Thanks Mate!! oh trust me it wasn't the drawing program that did the mis-measurement.... it was the "dumb dumb" behind the keyboard.....aka Me  . Just wish I would of paid more attention to that detail...lol I didn't get to get any bench time in on this last night and Hoping to be able to today when I get home from work. Tyrone.... this build looks great and love the added touch of the last decal. Great work on this man. This will be your favorite until you get the '57 done -
Greg... sounds like you are making some good progress Mate. Looking forward to seeing pics this weekend. I can only imagine the dust that was on the workbench. I find some of the same thing when doing body work and sanding down the Bondo. May not be quite as bad as resin but still stinks..lol

I just wanted to show the HOK Airbrush size paints I get. I forgot to post a pic of them earlier. the small 3 bottle in front are 2oz the rest are 4oz and then the reducers are in Quarts. These all get mixed 2:1 2 parts paint to one part reducer.

This is Killer build... Very nice work you got going. I am loving the detail you are adding. Great work!!

Another good source to get HOK paints be it their Airbrush size line (4oz & 2oz sizes) as well as quarts and anything you can think of from house of color is: http://www.smartshoppersinc.com/HouseOfKolor/color_chart_hok.html This is the place where I buy my HOK paints and the price is much better than local shops in my opinion. It is packaged from HOK and not poured out like some of the other companies do. The only draw back with their airbrush line is that they don't have every color they make in it. so some colors you may have to buy it in quarts. I have heard of stories where people that pour them out in a different containers and labeled by that company, that they cut the paint to be able to sell more of it. Basically they reduce the paint to make it go farther. Now I don't know anyone personally its happened too but I know it made me a little leary after hearing that. It is just my opinion and I am sure people have had great products from these people as well.

1/16 Scale Army Vega Funny Car - Finished 10/14/2018

Scott... thanks buddy. the blower pulley is a little smaller than the crank pulley. It can fit in the pocket of the crank pulley. You know I have no clue what the drive ratios were on those engines back then. I must of measured or wrote my number down wrong when I drew them up. It will be an easy fix though. -
Art.... Looking forward to seeing you this weekend as well. Hopefully you will bring the Vette project that I saw at the NNL's in February. Can't wait to see how much more progress you have made with it.

Hey Fellas.... Thank you all for your honest opinions. I sure missed the boat on this one and not sure how I ended up drawing that pulley bigger than it should of been. There is still work needed on some of these engine parts and just wanted some color on them. But this is where the fun is Tinkering on the engine. Jim... I will work on getting that drawing updated and over to you soon. Hopefully I will get the chance to work on it tonight when I get home. I need to go back and measure the kit pulley and see where I went wrong. I wanna get the part right so you can start making these for everyone else that wants them . Thanks again Jim for all of your hard work and being patient with me on these. Your hard work is very much appreciated. -
This is one Killer Skyline. Very Clean work. I love the air cleaner on this, where did you get it by the way. Awesome Model!!
-
This is one Bad A$$ build and one clean model. Well done. I love everything about it
-
Very Clean... I really Like how it turned out. I have one of these kits that I want to do bad and have pretty much all of my ideas of what i want to do but I gotta finish a few other builds first. This build makes me want to start mine.

Ok So I did some more work on this build tonight. Didn't get too far but was an accomplishment. I ended up working on the blower getting the front and rear pieces glued to the main body, as well ad drilled out the front piece for the pulley. Then after that I I decided to do an initial primer coat on some of the engine parts knowing all well that I would have to go back and fill some pin holes and things from the resin kit. Plus I was wanting to see some more parts in primer.... Here is my progress from the night.... Here is where I started this evening, getting the front blower face drilled for the pulley: Here is the aftermath, I first drilled a pilot hole then used a bigger size, then went to final size: Then glued the front and rear pieces on to the blower and then I had to test fit the pulley in the Blower: Once I was done with that, it was primer time... Oh Yeah!!: I couldn't resist to not sorta piece the engine back together to see how it looked by setting all of the parts on it. I decided to leave off the bolts for now but I will mock it back up with bolts before the Desert Scale Classic show this weekend. I had Jim aka Micro Nitro machine the pulley's for me and he does killer work. My question for everyone is after looking at my reference pics I am wondering if I made the blower pulley a little to big in diameter. The pics I have seems like it shows it a little smaller. So I am thinking about updating the drawing for that pulley. What are your guys's thoughts and Be honest should it be a little smaller??: Another Primer shot at a different angle: -

Greg.... Thanks buddy....I know what you mean. I think it looks better with primer on it too . I Should post a pic of the chassis before and after all of the mods on it together. The differences should stand out big time. Jack... LOL I never thought of that... haha. Danno.... This will definitely be on the Primer table for sure at the show. I can't wait til Saturday for it Art... Thanks buddy!!! I need to give you a buzz soon to catch up with ya man. -
