Hey Michael... that is cool you are building the same kit. You should post pics of it. Glad you are able to incorporate some of my ideas on your build. I would agree with you that this is my most expensive build I have done as well considering all of the hardware and aftermarket parts that will be going into this thing. It is sure a fun build though

Hans... the last thing I would want to do is make anyone feel that way. I would hope that other could find some inspiration with my builds. Derrick... thanks bro, I am proud of this.build so far. Just wish i was farther along wth it but its ok because I am getting there. I am hoping to make some more progess today on the chassis when I get home from work laer this morning. Had to come in for a few hours this morning...Boo! lol.

Scott...Thanks man. I couldn't agree more about having my girlfriend tke the pics versus using my tongue on the shutter. I can't tell you how tickled I am having this stuff done and this rework about wrapped up. well verry little update got to work on it for about an hour last night and was able to get some new tubes made for the roll cage but didnt get a chance to glue them in, hoping to get them done tonight and will updae with some pics for everyone.

This is a totally cool build and it looks great. I love the choice in color. very clean build.

Joe... LOL... yeah I usually set the camera on a mini tri-pod that I have. I have been wantig a digital SLR real bad though. One of these days so I can take better pics

Hey everybody.... I wanted to shout out a big thank you to all of you for your kind comments.they are much appreciated. I am very happy with how the seat has turned out as well as my chassis refab work. I am so happy that I am close to having it done and being able to get some primer on it. I have been looking forward to getting back to some of the engine work. I think it is going to be a blast. And a couple of the pictures where you saw both of my hands my girlfriend has been visiting me and she was kind enough to take a couple of the pics. I wasn't able to get to the bench last night but planning on hitting it for a few tonight. so I am hoping to have some more progress for everyone later, but no promises lol

Here is the chassis with the roll cage glued back on, Now all I need to do is add 2 more tubes to the roll cage area: Other side: Front View: Inspecting it and making sure it was looking ok...lol: Here I was test fitting the seat into the chassis after the roll cage was on:

Ok Guys... As promised here are pictures from yesterdays progress. Sorry for the delay Here is the seat after drilling out and filing the hole for the shoulder restraints to pass thru: Here is the bottom and side after I had filed and sanded down the solder: Here I have started by adding the slot in the seat on the side for the lap belt to pass thru: Here I have added the other slot on the other side of the seat and the seat pan is pretty much finished other than needing to add a little bondo to smooth a couple spots out before it gets some paint:

Hey Rom... Thanks man. Glad you were able to catch up on this build. It has grown a few pages while you were gone . I am still hoping to make it up for the NNLs in february. I dont think I will have this anywhere close to being done for it for it but will bring it as is. I am thinking I may try and have my 1/16th FED done for it though. which means I would need to set this funny car to the side for a little bit. I have been really swamped with a project at work so I am hoping I will be able to take the time off for the NNLs.

Good morning guys. I have pics to show you, I just wasnt able to get them uploaded last night. I will upload them tonight when I get home from work. I think I am calling the seat good for now. still needs little tweaking but am happy with it so far. I was also able to glue the roll cage back on and tonight I was planning on making 2 new tubes to add to the cage and then the chassis will be pretty much done other than adding the Dzus fastener tabs back on.

I love the stance, the look. its got the perfect ride height and chop. The detail blows me away on this. Very nice job on this one. I look forward to seeing some more of your builds.

Hey Guys.... Thanks for all of the comments. I have gotten a little more done on this seat, so far I have done some filing and sanding to the solder and I am starting to add the slots to the seat so the seatbelts can pass thru the seat and it will then be ready for some primer. I will be able to start gluing the roll cage back on to the chassis and finishing off the roll cage. Stay tuned and I will have some more pics shortly. Gonna get to the bench and work on this more this morning and try to work on it most of the day if possible.
