  1. Scott... Those parts look great man!! Nice looking strut and rear end. clean work.
  2. Thanks Bob.... I just walked thru the door from work. Nothing like and 85 hour work week. I am going to try and sit down at the bench to relax and build for a little bit tonight So I am hoping to have some prigress pics to show. It has been a very busy and crazy week for me and I have been itching to work on this build. Its been killing me not to be able to work on it. Thanks for checking in on me.
  3. Hey Brad... i have some bad news my boss sent out a email to all of us on the project i am working on and we have to work both sat and sunday. I am sorry man. if you are gonna be in the.chandler area on sunday i can bring that stuff with me to work. I do have the tire stencil. just let me know.
  4. Hey Art.... count me in as another that is very interested in seeing more 1/16 scale stuff. as you can tell from my 1/16 Army Vega build. i would be interested in talking to you more on this. i would love to see revell bring back a early 70's/80's funny car al lthough i think they need to retool and makes changes so its a little more accurate. besides my 1/16th scale funny car build right.now i also have a 1/16th scale FED thatvis super close to being done.. then next ob my list is a 1/16th scale "secret project" (not ready to say until funny car is almost done)'. 1/16th scale Fiat Altered, 1/16th scale injected 392 FED & a 1/16th scale Pro Mod.... just a little on my plate to bite off lol
  5. Hey Brad, it may be easier to buy that glue direct as when hobby depot told me they were going to order it. i waited and waited then got tired of waiting after a few weeks and ordered it direct and got it in a couple of days. I do have an extra bottle of it if you'd like it.
  6. John.... This build turned out incredible my friend. You sure hit it out of the park on this one. Very nice job!! I am just amazed at this build.
  7. Hey Brad... here is the pic of the Gator Glue that I mentioned Here is a link to their page: http://www.gatorsmask.com/gatorglueorder.html
  8. Brad...those dzus fasteners are looking good man. hey you need to order some stuff called Gator Glue. It's an acrylic glue that works good on photo etch parts. Another thing I was thinking was how about using some clear enamel paint as a glue. it may work. i have even hear of people using future floor wax on PE parts but I had no luck with it when i tried. May be worth tesing one on the prining plate. glad yoy have gotteb back to this. need to get this bad boy painted for got to say i will post a pic of it for you later when i get hone from work.
  9. Mike you are off to another great start ob this one. I look for to progress on this one.
  10. Hey Dragalley would love to see pics on this build you are doing. Is this a 1/16th scale build too?
  11. Wow! That is very impressive. I am with Brad on this... I need to get myself a miniature lathe and minature mill. Great work on these. They look very nice.
  12. Charlie.... is is awesome my friend. Your engine is looking great and I cant wait to see this cone together. very clean work so far keep up the great work. I will be following along.
  13. Andy... Great Video man!! thank you for sharing. I was wondering the best way to spray this stuff. I have a bunch of different colors that I haven't tried spraying yet, but I am looking forward to it. Have you ever used Alclad's clear over the chrome after you are done. I picked up some gloss and matt clear from them as well to mess with.
  14. Darryl... this build is off to a killer start. I will be following this one. Can't wait to see it come together and it is going to be neat seeing this car come to life.
  15. Hey Scott... no worries I just had to ask the question on the 1/16 stuff. I totally understand having alot of other things going on. I need to shoot you a pm of some items I would like to get from you. i have been super swamped with work so not when I will get the list to you but I will. thanks again.
  16. Niko.... looking great man. the.engine is tirning out nice!!!
  17. Rick... it's great to see you back on this build. The supercharger and manifold looks amazing. Man you do some killer work. I can't wait to see or next update.
  18. Thanks Bart!! It's great to have this back on its own wheels as a rolling chassis once again. there is still a little work to do to it before primer goes on. i am thinking of a way to to help stiffen up the seat support tube since i broke it when i was messing around with the seat bucket. i pushed a little too hard and broke it out at the glue joint. It's glued back in but think i will be drilling a hole and sliding in some brass rod for support on both sides. i teally want to be done with the chassis refab work so i can start back on the engine. I have some parts that Jim (Micro Nitro) should be done with soon and cant wait to see them cause i know.he has done some killer work on them.
  19. This is some very cool stuff. I am interested in some of your parts. Do you have a price list and pics rest of what you have? any chance that you will be doing any of this in 1/16th scale???
  20. Scott... Thanks man. I can't tell you how happy I am with it now. The rework has totally been worth it, Although next time I may just scratch build the whole chassis Joe... Thanks, I know what its like to go thru those moments where it is hard to get motivation going to work on it. My problem right now is that work is going to start getting worse for me for the next week or two and I am not sure how much I will get to work on this build during that time. Bill... Thanks... Yep I am really close for some primer. Hopefully soon. Brad... Thanks Bud!! You are right that it was alot of work but well worth it. Just a couple more details to it and then I am planning on getting to some of the engine details. I can't wait to see some paint on it as well. Hopefully I will get to work on it this week. fingers crossed.
  21. Brad... this is going to be a killer model my friend. I will be following this build for sure. I can't wait to see what you have in store with it.
  22. Tyrone...This build is sure coming along great. Man its looking good. That engine is going to be another killer one from you. the transmission is looking awesome! Keep up the killer work that you do.
  23. Right side support tubes: Here I added the tubes that bent around to the backside: The back side of the smaller tubes that were added: All completed: Here is a picture of the funny car back as a rolling chassis. All I have to do now is add back in my Dzus fastener tabs and make new side and floor tins for this rework to be completed:
  24. Hello Guys... got some updates on this one. Was able to get some bench time in this weekend and was able to accomplish getting the roll cage area completed. Without making you wait any longer here are pics of the updates..... I started out by cutting away part of the kit chassis again: After fabricating and gluing in new parts, here is the left side view: Back side view: Right side view: Starting to glue in some more support tubes:
