  1. Sean, send Eric an email at the address he listed in the first post of this thread, and also here is a link to his homepage. P & P Vintage Kits & Resin Works I've done business with him a few times and I'm very happy with his work!
  2. I don't see the problem with this either, especially since Eric is one of the FEW who PAYS FOR AD SPACE IN THE MAGAZINE, TOO!!
  3. Yep, I just have to wait for the Lonestar to come out, because that will be the first of my heavy haulers!
  4. GOOODIE!!!! Let me know when you have the red, too, and expect a BIG order, me likey my lights!
  5. There's only one problem with that idea, Chris, I'm out of the paint I used for the cab! Oh, and before you say "Go get more", did I mention it's $20 a CAN! I already have $60 in just the cab, but I think I might have some darker aluminum around here that might set it off nice.
  6. Looking good, Eric, and just in time for a heavy haul project I have in mind.
  7. PSSST, what about red, too? Us true rednecks want our backside lit up too!!
  8. I be watchin this one for sure!
  9. I'm not sure if I had one I knew I had but couldn't find, or at least right now none comes to mind, but I have had a few I forgot I had and them relized I had two or three of them. I'm still trying to figure out why I felt I needed two of the 98 Corvette Indy Pace cars, but I was surprised to find I liked it so much I had to have two. The best and most memorable case of CRS kicking in was at Christmas a couple years back, my mother in law had gotten me an AMT 2000something Chrysler 300C, and I opened it up Christmas morning, gave it the quick look through and scan of the instructions I usually give my new kits. A few days later, I went to the workbench and wanted to work on something, so I figured I'd give the 300 a better going through. Imagine my surprize when I opened the box and found a PAINTED BODY in the box! My first thought was "I need more models like this that will paint themselves!" and then I was pondering how exactly I had painted it and not remembered until I noticed the one I just received for Christmas a few shelves away.
  10. Oh I'm SO CONFUSED!!! I don't know whether I should build a model, go to the bar and drink some beer, or go to the kitchen and make breakfast, so I guess I'll just go back into my NyQuil induced haze!!!
  11. Chris, I like the contrasting roof and front bulkhead on the trailer! Maybe that can give me an idea to fix the goof ups on my Ford's trailer without stripping it!
  12. David, do you know the type of graphics card that is in your computer? Also, do you know if the driver for it is up to date? If the driver is out of date, updating it might help out.
  13. I just relized I posted the wrong picture of me! This is me and my fiancée taken at her cousin's wedding. Of course, you can see how I made the mistake!
  14. I'm 35, and have been building since I was about 8 years old, and never stopped once. That is even through the teen years when girls and cars came into the picture, I even had my first steady girlfriend who later became my ex wife get interested in building because I wouldn't give up my time at the workbench! After I had lost my collection in a house fire in 1997, I started almost immediately rebuilding the collection, and even when I was driving tractor trailer over the road, I took a few kits with me to work on during down time. I have a couple truck kits with well over a million scale miles on them! I plan on staying with the hobby until my time finally comes, and if I can find a way to keep building after that, I'll still be building!
  15. I just tried all three, the original one Mike posted I got 16 correct. The engine one Greg posted I got 14 right and the vehicle ID for the GM cars of the 60s was 59% (33 of 56), the non GM cars of the 60s was 73% (35 of 48), and the auto history was horrible at 7 of 17!
  16. Yep, agree with both of you, even though it is his truck, I know I wouldn't treat my truck or any other truck like that just to show off. I admit in my days I've slammed a few gears and ground a few too (I never have understood that what that third pedal is for! ), but I never banged any like that! Landon, as for the Rubber Duck, it doesn't look like it will be a feature like the BJ and the Bear truck or Snowman's rig, here is a list of the upcoming episodes from Speed's website, and episode 7 SCARES ME!! Episode 5: Hauling In Style Robb combs the nation for the coolest custom truck in America. Just like the world of Hot Rods, in the world of trucking, customization is a big deal. He visits three of the best custom big rig shops around, not only to check out their decked-out rides, but to put the rides to the test. Episode 6: Big Load This episode of American Trucker brings us to Shandon, Ohio, where we'll catch up with the kings of the load, Diamond Heavy Haul. For over 30 years, these guys have been hauling the biggest and heaviest loads on the road. When it comes to delivering the superload, nobody does it like Diamond. Episode 7: Robb Becomes A Trucker Robb's fascination with big rigs doesn't end with admiration. He wants to fulfill his childhood dream of being behind the wheel of a big rig. So it's off to the Dootson School of Trucking in Southern California. Very quickly, Robb realizes that getting his commercial driver's license will prove to be a lot harder than he thinks. If he actually gets a CDL, that just proves they'll give them to anybody! Oh, and you won't catch me on the slab anymore! By the way, funny you mentioned Trick My Truck, Leo. Of course that was another of my favorites and would even like to build models of a few of the trucks like the wrecker "Lifeline", but I think the best were the first season at Four State Trucks. Nothing beats a Mafia truck "Bilt by the boys"! The biggest thing I wonder, does anyone know what happened to "Wrecked"? That was my thing on Thursday nights, and it just disappeared, in my opinion it was the only true "reality" show on TV.
  17. This one? I don't have any other pics right now but if that's the kit, I'll be more than happy to take some pics of it tomorrow for you. By the way, I was quite shocked by the kit, it is well done and I thought the box art was of a real car until I opened the box!
  18. I've got to agree with everyone else, this show is great for the trucks, but that Rob Moron (did I get his name right!?!? ) is not really doing truck fans or drivers for that matter any good. I think SPEED might be better off finding a REAL TRUCKER to host the show, and I'm available! I wouldn't mind taking that nice K&L K Whopper for a spin! By the way Leo, I'm not sure but I think the Kenworth Kelvin was banging through the gears is owned by the chrome shop, so it would be his truck. Unless I missed something, I didn't see anything wrong with the way he drove the customer's Pete, well except the moron in the passenger seat with his foot on the dash!
  19. Thanks for the info Darin, I'll have to make sure I pick one up and put the AMT clunker up for trade!
  20. These are the ones I'd love to see, too. Revell could do them from the nice 56 platform, of the tri five Nomads I have it is by far the best. Of course with that said, I throw in the 55 Nomad and 55 Bel Air in the mix as well, because I think AMT's kits of the 55s are not the greatest. The Torinos are a nice idea, but with those I also say through the Ranchero in the mix, too! The 63 Vette, YES! I've always loved the split window since I could say Vette, but AMTs 60s or 70s something tool is hideous compared to the modern tooling. The Checker just rates off the "COOL" chart for such an ugly utility car that it would be a "Must Have", and the Olds would also be nice not only in Hurst trim, but 442 as well. I could finally built not only a model of my friend's old 442, but I could also maybe build another friends base model Cutlass as well. As a Trans Am fan, of course the 69 cars would be high on my "must have" list, I have never cared for the old MPC/AMT kits of any year until the more modern tooling came out for the last Gen 4 cars. I would also say they could be based on Revell's great 68 Firebird kit, and add the option of either the V8 or Blue Flame 6 like the old horrible MPC kit. Of course, some more of the 70s and 80s cars with more modern tooling would be fine by me, too!
  21. Robert, honestly don't knock the Revell Chevy just because it is a snaptite, it is a nicely detailed kit. The Midnight Cowboy also has a very nice bed as well. If you would like pics of the beds, I have both and would be more than happy to take pics of them for you. Unfortunately I can't help you out with one though, because if you didn't guess from my avatar pic, I'm big on wreckers!
  22. Honestly I don't see the problem here people, images posted from Photobucket here resize themselves if done CORRECTLY! All of my pictures are downloaded at a size of 1024x763, just as this one of my Ford truck project. At the setting of 1440x900 on my 19 inch Dell monitor, these pics show at their full size in the thread, but at the 1280x720 setting on my monitor, they show up in a box in the thread that says "Resized to 90% (was 1024 x 763) - Click image to enlarge", so I'd say if you don't want large pics, DON'T CLICK ON THE IMAGE TO BLOW IT UP! I also get the same message on my Dell laptop set at 1280x800. I personally feel the problems are not pictures or those posting them, I would suggest changing the settings on your monitors! Now on the flipside of the coin for those who use the site's uploader, some of those pictures are HUGE !!!!!!! Since I have never used it, I don't know if there is a way to resize, but seriously clicking on a thumbnail just to see a tire is ridiculous! I'm with Donnie, I'm getting to the point if there are thumbnails, I pass over the thread.
  23. Thanks for the info Alan, and I can guarantee you'll be hearing from me soon! I just picked the set of wheels Stewart had you send me up at the post office yesterday and I WANT MORE!! They are great, top notch work!
