  1. Your stash is so big you might get lost!?!? The only problem I have with my stash is models appearring out of thin air and me asking myself "Where did this come from?" and "I don't remember buying this!".
  2. Casey, may I use the pic you posted when I send the email?
  3. I'm not trying to hijack Casey's thread, but anyone who would like to see the 1/16 scale trucks reissued, please see my thread here in the trucks section to sign an email to see if we can get Revell to reissue these kits.
  4. If you would like to see Revell reissue the old Monogram 1/16 scale big rigs as seen in Casey's "Monogram's Big Rigs for '88" thread, please leave me your full name and I will include it in an email I will send to Revell around the first of June. Thanks in advance, Matthew Brownlee.
  5. Nice idea Jim! I know a young man named stewart is doing that very thing for pickup kits, LET'S DO THE SAME!!!
  6. I'm not sure if there has been any since this "Thom Taylor" issue from around 2000. It has a Cabriolet soft up top or the down top tonneau. P.S.: I'm sorry, but I'm building both of these, so I can't help you out!
  7. Yes, Harry, there might be "another" forum, but this one is MUCH nicer!! That "other" forum does have it's own section for Community Builds, and that wouldn't be a bad idea here. It would make the Community Builds easier to find! Just a thought. Please don't think less of me if I just might be a member of the "other" forum, too!
  8. "Zukiholic, on 30 March 2010 - 11:05 PM, said: BTW: The SC T-Bird has a V-6 Yup, same 3.8 V6 as the pre-91 Cougar XR-7. However the post-91 XR-7 used the 5.0 V8 (well...4.9 technically)." Thanks to both of you, I knew the SC T-Bird has the supercharged V6, I got the SC kit to build my 1:1 , but the 1:1 doesn't have the supercharger or the SC bumpers!!
  9. Don't get a worse headache researching the engine! It is a Cat 3406. I'm not sure if it is a 3406 B or 3406 E, but here's some quick pics I found on the web. 3406 B: 3406 E: Hope these help you some!!
  10. Man, I REALLY miss that beautiful blue metalflake 1/16 scale Kenworth! That was the first truck kit I ever bought on my own. I lost it in a house fire in 1997 and can't afford the steep prices they sell for on ebay to replace it. That's one of very few kits I've never replaced from my original collection!
  11. Great pics! The close up of the front and rear bumpers and the pic of the engine just made me realize something! The engine in the Cougar is the non turbo version of the 3.8 Liter V6, right? With a little modification to the bumpers and the non turbo engine, I can make a model of the 1:1 1990 T-Bird I have in my driveway from the 1990 T-Bird Super Coupe kit Revell made!
  12. I second that motion!! Plan C looks way too cool! Don't forget the heavy duty 4X4 axle someone metioned from Sourkraut's. Then more Boggers and mix Plan C and make Plan A.3-the Ford with duallies!
  13. No problem, Zukiholic. After being driven for 20 years in WV, of course it would be "rustic"!! And hopefully you can see the axle past all the oil drippings!
  14. I don't know, I'll have to dig it out, but I think AMT's 1966 Ford Fairlane may have something similar.
  15. P.S.: I got paid back about 6 months later with the nickname "Sparky"! I caught some electrical wires with the corner of my trailer and broke a telephone pole that landed on my trailer, along with the live wires, in addition to two other poles that broke down the street!
  16. He just wanted a convertible! A friend of mine that I used to work with did something similar to his trailer, didn't cause damage like that, but lost the entire fiberglass roof panel from his trailer. After he got back to the warehouse we drove for, I didn't believe he hit a bridge, I couldn't see any damage to the trailer at all. That is, until he opened the back doors and all I seen were the roof support ribs and sky! He became the inspiration for my next build: By the way, please DO NOT be offended by the name on the trailer, it was not meant that way! My friend is very secure with his Polish hertitage and originally only did it as an office joke while all us drivers were drinking our morning coffee, but he loved it so much he took it home! Good thing I took pics before I took it to work!
  17. They're nice, no question about it, but considering the price of new kits nowadays, I don't think they're that expensive. I'd rather spend $20-$25 on a Ross Gibson than spend the same amount on a kit that will never be built just for a donor engine.
  18. Wonderful pics, Tim! I'm already getting ideas for builds. The first pic on the first page you should send to Harry P for his "Real or Model" thread, I first thought those four trucks were in a diorama!
  19. You're welcome, Drago, and try this thread for info on Modeltruckin.com: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=28084 You could probably PM phoneguy to find out why your emails are coming back to you.
  20. By the way, great idea and looking good so far. Did you think of running dual boggers on the rear axles? That would look even cooler!
  21. NO DON'T DO THAT!! I have this 1:1 Ford F350 Dually 4X4 and the axle is under the springs. Not a great pic, but this is the front axle and spring: It's definitely not close to what you're building , but in it's former life it was a wrecker! The previous owner owned a towing company and after it's life of towing, he removed the wrecker body and put the stock dually bed on it. The only telltale signs that it didn't come from Ford this way is the "Incomplete vehicle manufactured by Ford" sticker inside the door and the 6 inch gap between the cab and bed!
  22. HUH!! Aaron, I think you posted in the WRONG THREAD!!! And, yes KITT was not evil, KARR was!
  23. I know, the few I seen from "Movin On" looked good for a few shots of the truck, but not many good inside views.
  24. Yep, you're right! I'm not sure on the real truck (too young, I wasn't even born when the show was on the air), but I know the kit had the aux trans, just like all the other AMT KW W900 kits. Even the T600 kits of the early 90s had the aux trans in it, and two stickers were WAY gone by that time! The only AMT KW W900 kit I have ever seen without the aux trans (it's still there but not used) is the old Alaskan Hauler issue. The kit includes ALL of the parts needed to build the W900 like the "Movin On" issue, but includes, according to the instructions, a 16 speed Spicer trans that does not use the aux trans or the second stick shift.
