  1. I just checked their website, and CHECK THESE OUT!!! http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=38896 Those look exactly like the ones I sent you the other link for, but a whole lot cheaper!! Again, looks the same as mine, but with the lights.
  2. I have a pair very similar to these: http://www.micromark.com/DELUXE-LIGHTED-HEADBAND-MAGNIFIER,7844.html The visor itself looks like the same on I have, but mine is not lighted, and I think I bought mine from one of the travelling tool shows that sell from tractor trailers. I pretty sure mine were only around $10, and I have had them for quite a few years. It has plastic lens, but very good clarity, and it has the extra flip down piece and the monical like the one's pictured in the link. If you'd choose to go with these, they would be worth the money.
  3. Is that also the same Cougar from the "Model King" drag set with the Bronco and trailer? I got one of the sets, mainly for the Bronco and trailer, but the Cougar looks nice, even with inaccuracies. I may have to finally work on it someday.
  4. Spyder, will it be a Saturday you will be going through NYC? If so, you shouldn't have to much rush hour traffic to mess with, and even though it's been about 10 years for me being in that area, I used to drive tractor trailer, I had little problems going over the GW Bridge. If I was going to Boston or Hartford, etc., I would take I-80 to the GW the go I-95 (Cross Bronx Expressway) and continue up I-95 then I-84 if I was heading to western Mass or Hartford area. If you take I-84 all the way to I95, cross the GW, then I-80, that looks like it should get you right up to the Paterson area, which by your "Mapquest" pics, is where you're heading. A bit of trucker's advice, though, watch your signs to make sure you stay on the right routes, and usually the best times to get through the NYC area is late at night, early morning, or weekends. If you can I'd shoot for the 6:30 part of your time frame.
  5. At least my cats don't do that, I don't allow them on the desk. One of my "girls" loves to sleep on top of closed boxes, though! Her favorite is my International Payhauler 500, and at least it's a strong box.
  6. That's why I TRY to keep the cats out of my model area. It doesn't work, though!
  7. I'll have to see if I can find one of those collars and try that in one of my tractor trailer builds. Thanks, John.
  8. I really like the look, and I thought the pic of the engine and gas tank was of a real bike, too. I love how you made the taillights look like LEDs. How did you do that?
  9. I'm going to take a wild stab and guess you're going to build a t top ranchero!? I seen one on Barrett Jackson this year from Scottsdale that was cool. I think it was a Barris Kustom.
  10. I look forward to watching this build. I have always wanted one of these, but just never bought it yet.
  11. I love the link, John. I forget where or how I found it, but I've had it in my "Favorites" for a while now, very useful information.
  12. Yeah, and don't forget CSI (Las Vagas) where one season the reoccurring storyline was the "Miniature Killer" who build the dioramas of his murder crime scenes.
  13. Yeah Drago, here's the link: http://public.fotki.com/cnaind/truck-tires--wheels/off-road--pickup-tires/'>http://public.fotki.com/cnaind/truck-tires--wheels/off-road--pickup-tires/ That will take you to the page with the off road tires, and this one will take you to his home page: http://public.fotki.com/cnaind/
  14. Adding in on the TV shows, "Mythbusters" used an Italeri truck and trailer, not sure of which ones, I think it was a Ford Aeromax tractor and either the 40 foot container or US cargo trailer, and a Revell 1987 Ford Thunderbird and the "Big Rig Drafting" myth small scale tests.
  15. Hope you got a purple pond! That stinks, your project looked like you had a nice paint job on it!
  16. Here's a couple of mine: Norscot 1:50 scale Cat D11R (I just wish it were 1:24(5): Discovery Channel's "Monster Garage" Mobile Wedding Chapel in 1:24 and 1:64 scales: I also have the 1:64 scale Fire Limo, Explorer Garbage Truck, School Bus Pontoon Boat, Ford Tree Shaker, and Mustang Switchblade Lawn Mower from "Monster Garage", as well as about a dozen of the "American Chopper" motorcycles.
  17. Here's one I bet no one will remember! The 1991 TV movie "Knight Rider 2000", there was a model of the new KITT sitting on the desk! I'm not sure if it was this AMT model or not, but you can (barely) see it in the lower right hand corner of this screen shot, I have the movie downloaded in my computer!
  18. I say real, too. There was another very similar with the reflection like this one that was real, the photo style looks identical!
  19. That commercial is for Firestone, it's a red (appears to be AMT) 72ish Corvette convertible with Firestone Wide Ovals.
  20. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the regular Swampers he has are based on the ones you have from Aoshima, I have the Toyota from them with the Swampers and they look very similar. His Swamper Boggers and Baja Claw tires are just as impressive!!
  21. Don't worry that much about it, I'm sure you weren't the first and probably won't be the last! I almost made the same mistake myself!
  22. If you want some nice off road tires, check these out: http://public.fotki.com/cnaind/truck-tires--wheels/off-road--pickup-tires/ He posts on the forum and shows his work.
  23. Yeah, and looks better than a few I've seen around the WV/PA/Oh area with a piece of plywood covering the hole. That must be the hillbilly/redneck way of doing it!
  24. Yeah, I think he "Photoshop"ped himself into a diorama! If Harry would have put one of the first pics in "Real or Model", he would have fooled us all!!
  25. Actually, I thought it was $499.00 for the empty boxes. At least you get Free Shipping!!
