  1. Are you talking in trade threads or in general?
  2. Thanks for the info Mark. I was going on the years Bradley had posted.
  3. How are you trying to download it? Do you have a photobucket account set up? It's free! That is what I use for pitures, here is a sample:
  4. I had the original kit when the real truck was still in the GM showrooms as well and it was a very nice kit. I'm looking forward to buying it again.
  5. OOPS, I guess rereading the years, my Earnhardt "Box Bird" doesn't fit! I'm not sure, but wasn't the EXP a hopped up Escort?
  6. I'll be in! I have to see what I have exactly I'm going to enter, but off the top of my head it will either be an 82 Dale Earnhardt T Bird stock car or an 86? T-Bird pro stock dragster.
  7. Nick, I think you misread that, I didn't see Chuck say anything about a flathead, he said a flatBED would be cool.
  8. Thanks for the link! I seen a lot of things on there I want!!

    2 302s

Boy, did I get surprised! When I seen "2 302s" I was expecting two Fords! I wasn't even thinking of seeing the Camaro, nice builds on both. A friend in high school had a '70 Boss 302 almost that same color. He took me for a ride in it one night and almost cracked my neck when he hit second gear, that thing was a monster!
  10. Race cars included?? That's all I have in those years.
  11. Nice builds Nathan. Where did you get the extra decals from on the Days of Thunder car? I have all three of the Monogram Thunder kits and would like to have the extras, especially the Hendrick logos.
  12. What, like a yard dog?
  13. I don't think that bet will get you in the hand! I already bet 1 case and he raised me 2, so I think you would have to bet 3 cases plus 2 kits to get in!
  14. That would work, too. I'd first heard the technique I explained way before the gel pens and such were out, those would be an alternative today.
  15. I would say an adjustable fifth wheel, too. Even though I've never see anything like it , I have seen similar fifth wheel plates on "yard jockies" or "yard dogs", it is an air actuated fifth wheel that will release the trailer at a push of a button.
  16. A tip I'd heard one time for the stripe around the outer edge of the wheel, put some yellow paint on something hard (old cd case, stiff plastic, a piece of old glass or mirror, etc.just something that won't bend under pressure) and lightly press the edge of the wheel into the paint and you have the stripe on the outer edge. Just make sure the paint on the hard surface is not very thick, or it will go inside the wheel as well. Some of the older wheels had a red and yellow stripe on the outer edges, these are best done with a chiseled toothpick and a steady hand.
  17. Well, since everyone else is talking about building their 1:1 cars and trucks, I might as well join the party. As soon as I get brave enough to cut the extended cab off the Monogram Ford F350 dually, I'm going to build this: I'm actually planning on building the scale 1:1 as a mix of what it looks like now and with some options, mainly dual stacks between the bed and the cab, I would like to add in the future. I also plan on building the blue 1990 Ford T-Bird that is slightly visible in the background before it takes it's final ride to the big parking lot in the sky! I've got the Revell Super Coupe T-Bird for it, but have to modify it to a non turbo standard Bird. I even have the correct Duplicolor paints for both vehicles. I might get started on them some year!
  18. Me, too. I want to see more new truck kits! A Freightliner Coronado? Peterbilt 387 and 389? A newer than 1970s Kenworth W900? Don't get me wrong, I love the old trucks AMT/Round2 are reissuing, but some (more) new iron would be nice, too!
  19. Me neither!! I was talking with my friendly LHS owner today and told him I want at least one and will probably want a CASE OF THEM!!!!!
  20. I watched that "Overhaulin'" episode, seeing the truck brought Chip to tears!
  21. CAL, the 5.7L can also be a Chevy 350, and 5.0L is also the designation given to Ford's and Chevy's 302 engines. The numbers you have might be the exact numbers (don't know, I didn't add them up ), but the liter designations used today are just giving you an approximate engine size. If I remember correctly, I think both Ford's 351 and Dodge's 360 where both listed as 5.8L, weren't they?
  22. I'm not a GM expert, either, but, simply put, the Chevy LT-1 is a small block Chevy. The LT-1 is commonly found in the mid and late 90's Camaro, Firebird, and standard Corvettes. The ZO6 is a model designation for the high end Corvette models, similar to the ZR-1 of the early 90's.
  23. Railfreak, I'm not trying to put you down or anything like that, just asking a question, but why didn't you just start with Revell's 1964 Fairlane they just reissued?? It, I think, is probably the 2 in 1 kit you referred to, and it is based on the Thunderbolt Harold suggested. If you would want pics of it, send me a PM and I'll be more than happy to show you what's in the kit. Then you could just restore the 63 you got, I'd bet it's got to be rare!
  24. That sounds like you hit something and didn't relize it or maybe you hit a curb or something with the sidewall. You could have hit a curb a couple months ago and broke one of the belts in it, and it waited till today to completely break and go KABOOM!
  25. Hey, Rusty Nail, maybe it was a rusty nail! Seriously, just like grimreaper said, it could have been anything. By the way, I seen your CB handle in the CB thread, I just hope you don't take offense to the joke!
