  1. No, I don't sell them, I just mainly tinker with molding truck parts I may have a use for. I still have the mold for it, I could make one for you. It only a one piece mold, so the back will need sanding flat, but I have that and the deck step that runs the length of the rack and is about an inch (real, not scale ) wide.
  2. Thanks, ledsled! It's even got a diesel! That shows how much the diesel fumes effected me!! The best thing is, unlike the wanna be's who have to lose bed space for the "look", with the 6 inch gap between the bed and the cab (since this was an old wrecker and came from Ford as a chassis cab), I don't lose an inch of bed space!!
  3. I agree with Tim, a headache rack would look good. I have a mold of this one if it would help: I modified it from the headache rack in Can Do's spare parts and is also in the Peterbilt 359 from Revell AG. I added to the back of the original to make it thicker: Also if you add a headache rack of any style, I would choose the lowboy, especially since you have the beacons on the mirrors.
  4. Yeah, I agree!! I guess these guys would slam me, too, for filling the gap between my cab and bed with 5 inch stacks on my 1:1!!!! And, by the way, I DO (well did) drive semis, and this is my LITTLE SEMI!!! If I could, I'd even put a hood like this on it!!
  5. All you have to do is look at my screen name! I had my CB Handle evn before I started driving tractor trailer in 1998. My friends and I all had CBs in our cars and trucks in high school, and I like the NBC TV movie "The Highwayman" (which in a rerun was called "Terror on the Blacktop") where the hero drove a Mack that turned into a helicopter, so I came up with the "Highwayman" handle. Later, after I started driving truck for a local towing company and also a local warehouse distributor, my coworkers shortened it to "Highway".
  6. Monty, as CAL and YJIslander said, the title is a little vague, and I was one of the one's who viewed, but did not reply. I fit in option A. I feel option B is good, if I had the kit and would do the trade, I would only expect 1 kit in return, unless it was your idea to send more. As for option C, I don't blame you one bit! We know most of the bad traders, but if they come in a thread, then everyone who's mad with them start their ranting, then the one's who are friends of the other guy start defending him, you all know who I'm talking about!! I wouldn't want them in any of my trade threads either! Good luck finding the kit!
  7. Oh no!! I don't think I'm going to do as well as my 4 for 4 in ROM!!!
  8. Thanks, Deckerz. I love the look of Skylines, but the numbers confuse me sometimes! That's just like one of the earlier ones I have that has an engine in it, I can't remember if it's an R32 or R33.
  9. I don't know if it's a community build or not, but I've seen some people hunting parts and such for a Jairus Watson build.
  10. I know, Harry, just a suggestion. I enjoy the community builds and I'm taking part in two over at "the other guys" site, but the community build are hard to find here because they don't have their own home.
  11. Now is there a possibility for a separate "Community Builds" forum? It would make them much easier to find.
  12. Nice weathering work! It reminds me of a 48? Chevy on Spike TV's "Trucks" that they modified with modern suspension and such, but gave it a weathered "Fauxtina" paintjob. The did it with fresh paint, but it looked like it was sitting in a field for 30 years.
  13. I must agree and disagree with you. I post both here and SA, as I said earlier, and there are a few bad seeds here, too. One look through the "Wanted" thread and you'll see that! You'll learn the bad ones and not trade with them. There are also many good ones on both sites, and I trade on both. As for site preference, I do agree this is the better of the two, the pics are posted much better here and you can see what you're looking at without resizing the image. I notice many screen names that also post to both sites, but some seem to be here more! The features like "Real or Model" and the reference threads makes it fun and educational here, SA has neither, nothing fun there except the community builds thread, which are hard to find here!
  14. I, pulled them a time or two, I've pulled the 3000Rs a few times, too. They were always a nice pulling trailer. I noticed you live in Columbus, I'm only about 120 miles east of you near Wheeling!
  15. I agree, I also post on the other "Auto" site, but the pics there are small. The pics here feel like I'm standing there looking at it! I also have seen the admins here are not afraid to post on builds or voice their opinions, the most I've seen with the other guys is what they want you to see in the mag or if you mention the word "buy", they chime in with "Take your business to email"! I also joined the other guy's "scale" treadhead site, but since I don't build much military models, I don't post or go there very often. Gregg has put together a wonderful site here, and even though I post both here and the other guy's site, I have been spending much more time here!
  16. They were the Goodyear GT Radials just like the larger rear tires included in all the 3 in 1 muscle car kits used for the "Street" verisons with the lift blocks.
  17. I'd go for it, I've been doing real good in "ROM"! What would be the chance of a separate "Community Build" forum as well? That "other" forum has the community builds in their own separate little home!
  18. You are both welcome.
  19. Both Tamiya R34s I have are curbsides, but I do have a R33? (maybe R32) Skyline from Tamiya that does have a full engine.
  20. You may be right on the HOBBS, the pic I posted of the original truck looks close to Smokey and the Bandit's HOBBS, but the replica's pic is definitely a newer Utility 2000R, I hauled enough of them!!
  21. It wasn't a bad idea as long as SHE DOESN'T FIND OUT!!!!!
