  3. Cool!!!! Reminds me of one of the very old AMT Box Art cars of the late fifties and early sixties......NICE WORK!!!
  4. Sounds like the stock parts that were added are worth the buy in for this one.....the 289 would have been a great addition too.....then maybe a station wagon....and.......oops got a bit carried way there!!!!
  5. I like this kit.....I'm not a Mopar guy so I am flying in the fog on this.....it's on my work bench and I am just messing with it and having a good time.....I ended up rebuilding the chassi plate (pics later maybe)...converted to single headlights and a few other minor touches......my one big complaint is the rear end (half cast thingy).....but that's samll peanuts compared to the fun of fooling with this one......and hey it's got "4 DOORS"!!!!!!
  6. WOW!!! I just really like the fat fender cars.....so much and this is just a stunning piece of work!!!! Great job!!!!
  7. Skip: The paint is all Tamiya....straight from the can. Light gray primer undercoat......dried for about ten days and then sveral light coats of Tamiya Mica blue.....followed by a wet coat.......dried for about another ten days and a light rub out with Novus #2. Thanks Bill

  17. Thanks Don: I have been building for years......that said I use an "Ott-Lite" with a flip up bulb and magnifier extentsion (comes with the light) that really helps with the small stuff......hope to see your 63 Ford soon!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
  18. Hello: Here is the final product of my most recent build....a 39 Chevrolet Street Rod from the Revelle 39 Low Rider kit. I m not a low rider guy so I converted this into a pretty straight up street rod. Build up pics are included in the on the bench section....here is the final product. Hope you like it. Regards Bill (Duntov)
  19. OK.....stumble on a kit that is rare and VERY desireable......get it for a good price.......it's all there.......take it home and actually build it.......(share it with us)..........WOW......what's not to like?!?!?!?!?!?! Excellent.....glad you rescued this very worthy orphan.......have fun!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
  20. Well Rick.....I guess we can Let Michael in....at least on probation......maybe we can convert him ) Oh yeah and Michael......be sure to get specs on the 66 Chevelle.....the wheels appear to be 14 inch and not 15's as on the Corvette and full size cars....... Later Bill
  21. Hi Michael: I have used the dog dish hub caps and resin wheels (and tires) from the Model Haus....but capsare for a later model. "Most" 66 Chevrolets would have used a 15 inch wheel so that should be what you focus on overall. Since you are wanting to use dog dish caps the inner ring will not show anyway. The Modelhaus wheels have an outer rim and have flat centers that the cap sits in so the center does not show so you could use them. But then the only other thing will be the style of dog dish cap. The pic on the left is from a full size Chevy very flat overall.....the one on the right (single) is the taller Chevelle unit. Hope this helps. Regards Bill (Duntov)
  22. Great job.....a real display of skill and crafstmanship........I like it!!!! Now you just need a resin figure of John Candy as Uncle Buck to stand by it and you are all set.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) Regards Bill (Duntov)
  23. Great build.....thanks for displaying the ribbon........ Regards Bill (Duntov) US Navy "Linebacker" 69 - 75 NGFS
  24. Steve: I'll hve to try that....I have 29 pick up on which the doors that just will NOT stay shut.....magnets sound like a good idea..... Later Bill
  25. Here is an update on my '39 chevy.......the paint is finished....a few touch ups left and the BMF is on ....also with some minor follow up. The frame has been set up with pins to mount the body front and rear. Some detail items left on the chassis but it's moving closer to being complete.......about two weeks out now as I will not get too much time this weekend........ Regards Bill (Duntov) Interior - this is a very simple interior with few frills and just a bit of detail....: Exterior shots......may need to redo the hood side panel.....will see where it goes....................
