  1. What a very nice clean build.
  2. Looks real nice from what I can see from the tiny pics.
  3. Great build! Looks like the 1/1 scale truck. Very nice finish & fine detail work.
  4. This is one really great thread! So many awesome engines & they just keep coming. So many great ideas! Love it! As the Doc would say, keep them coming!
  5. Your very welcome, Mike.
  6. Mike, the car was painted white first. The straight sections of the stripes were masked with Tamiya tape. The flame sections were cut from Bare Metal Foil & then applied to the roof. The paint was then sprayed very thinned down in very light mist coats of paint. The masks & tape were then removed while the paint was still wet. There was no jagged edges or touch up needed. I hope that helps.
  7. That is coming out really cool so far. Very nice work, Tyler.
  8. Looking real nice so far. Have always liked the Mugen body kits & those wheels are cool.
  9. Very nice clean build.

  16. Thank you very much for all the comments. Ken, I first tried masking the flame sections with friskit film & when I removed this mask, all the adhesive staid in the model! I ruined the paint job removing the adhesive . For paint job 2, I used Bare metal Foil again. The design was cut out on the sheet & then removed very carefully & placed on the model, again very carefully. The masks were very fragile. I removed the masks right after painting, while the paint was still some what wet. That way you do not pull dried paint chips up with the mask leaving jagged edges. I hope that helps.

    Funny Bug

I just finished rebuilding this for a friend. The chassis was modified from a 1320 die cast & the body is an old junk piece that was modified to fit the chassis. The paint took a few tries, but I am finally happy with the finish. The flames were applied using Bare metal foil & Tamiya paint.
  18. Cool idea. Looking forward to this WIP. Brings back memories, Mom had one.

  21. Awesome build! Beautiful work & a great idea. Extremely clean.
  22. Welcome back to the hobby. Very nice clean build. I say your skills are still there. Being single (never been married) does have some advantages. I could not have a girlfriend now anyway because I am a full time care taker for my 86 year old mother.
  23. G'Day Lou, Sorry to say, Modelli Verona is long gone. Too many of these very small operations did not last very long. It is too bad because they made some really nice kits. The best place I know of to look for current kits & accessories is Grand Prix Models in England. As far as older used kits, EBay is a great place to look. I have bought quite a few 1/43rd's from EBay over the years.
  24. What a wild looking ride. Very cool & very nice work.
  25. Looks really cool so far. Very different & I like it.
