  1. Let's see some pics.
  2. I fully agree with giving your name. So much so that when our VW club was putting together a forum, I insisted that we do it there also. I like being referred to as "Greg" not "gpugh1976".
  3. That's awesome that you've made your way back. I know I sure do enjoy it.
  4. WOWZER!!!! Those are amazing!!
  5. The wheels and tires are from the same kit. The rears are a larger diameter and a little wider than the fronts.
  6. I freakin' love this thing!
  7. I use to love Cartoons magazine! Great memories there.
  8. Very nice!!
  9. That looks fantastic Bill!! Nice work! Are you bringing that Tuesday?
  10. I'd take the keys to that Victoria! Beautiful work Lyle!!
  11. Lol! This is cool.
  12. Yeah, we have almost a full year to build. Hopefully we will get lots done. Of course.....if the world's gonna end anyway, I could quit my job and get much more done........mmmmmmm Just kidding!
  13. I'd like to know how to polish photoetch parts. A full tutorial would be nice too.
  14. What kits will the winners be able to choose from? Just curious.
  15. '58 Plymouth Belvedere in Red and White is my absolute, all-time "dream car". You sir, are blessed. Thank you for sharing.
  16. There's no way they took into consideration all the work you put into that. That's a beautifully done model and working with (modifying) die cast is no easy task. Without seeing what else was on the table, I would have to agree that you got the shaft there. That car is amazing!!
  17. Here's a better shot of the Vette's wheels
  18. No problem at all. The wheels on the '54 Delivery came from the Revell '67 Chevelle "California Wheels Edition" and the rolling stock on the Vette is off of a Dub City die cast.
  19. NO DOUBT!! I was showing one of my builds to one of my grown-up friends and he just all of a sudden reaches down to pick it up and before I can say "oh no, no touchie", he pinches the front wheels and snaps them both off. I was flabbergasted. I couldn't believe an adult would do what a 5 year old would do. He didn't even ask if he could touch it, he was just gonna grab it!! On the original subject though. I have raised both of my boys (6 & 9) around models. They both build and love the hobby and have been bulding since they were 4 (actually, my youngest was 3). I started explaining from day one that these are not toys. They've never even attempted to play with them. They each have about 8 or so done builds each. I put up a shelf in each of their rooms and they even put them in display cases. They know that their models are their models and dad's models are dad's. They will come watch me build when they're not building and they will check out what I've done. But they both know my two big rules......1) Don't ever touch dad's models and 2) Don't ever bump dad when he's at the desk.
  20. I love that color. It really pops with the wide whites and the white firewall. Good job!
  21. Nice lookin' cars there. Let's see your 1:1 Plymouth!
