I pasted this reply I got from another forum Since the rear end is independent suspension you have to shorten the torque tube connecting the two trailing arms. On my model ,I sectioned 5/16" out of the center of the torque tube then drilled and pinned it back together using some medium wire. Trial fit the suspension with trailing arms and wheels mounted to see just how much you have to narrow the tube to make it look right. After the tube is narrowed you will find that it might contact the frame so alittle cutting and sanding of the frame might be needed. Lastly you need to shorten the shocks , do this on the top of the shock where it fits in the shock tower and nothing will be visible. I did not mount that beautiful engine in the car so If you plan to do so you will need to shorten the axel shafts. Check out my post "73 911 Carrera" in this same sports car forum for some pics. Michael this is the proper way. I cut cut the shocks and removed the rear wheel spacers. Lots of trial and error.
