  1. I think it was a short lived run. 88 and 89 seasons.
  2. No problem. Just don't use black sharpies as they leave a blue purple tinge
  3. Thanks guys. Most times I will paint from the sprue. I use a sanding stick then touch up. Always touch ups to do always will have one Porsche on the bench I used a red sharpie for the lettering. Works perfect.
  4. Some progress. Finished step 7. Pedals to go in next. Paint some more detail on the gas tank. The engine assembly. all comment welcomed.
  5. Engine is looking very nice.
  6. Holy shiny. Very clean very nice work.
  7. Looks great to me. Fell in love with this car because of test drive on my Amiga.
  8. Step 3 completed. Right pod completed.
  9. Left pod completed.
  10. Got some work on the chassis. Next rads for the side Pods. thanks for looking.
  11. Nice. Have fun with the trim. I don't mask. What I do. I take a very fine black art pen and I trace it in the trim panel line. Nice and straight it goes. Then I paint the trim. Kinda acts like a mask perfect lines Everytime. I did that on my green flat nose.
  12. Thanks. The front wheels I did not want to mess with them. Back end was giving me enough trouble. The body on the front sat a little high. Tried my best to glue it down as much as I could. At least it's level. Thanks for the comments.
  13. Thanks you. This was the first model that I almost threw at the walk. I am sure many of theses did hit walls or put back in it's box. It was a challenge
  14. Thanks Harry. Will we ever find a metallic paint that is to scale ? At least the paint looks better on the caprice I did.
  15. Thanks Curt. Good to know.
  16. Here is my next Porsche project. Got this kit pretty cheap. Engine was assembled and decals looking old. Started painting the chassis. Detailing the rads. Here's is a pic of the box.
  17. Thanks Carl. I'm still waiting on doing a bunch of ontario plates to go on all my models. Once I have the plates I will out them on all of my builds.
  18. Thanks guys. Started my next Porsche. A late 80's Indy car.
  19. Very nice work.
  20. Hello.. I finally completed this one. Testor's issue of the Fujimi kit. Paint is Testor's one coat Blazing black. no gloss. This kit was a fighter. I probably took the rear end about 20 times to get it to sit right. Even though its not perfect. I am still pretty happy with it. Now to decide what Porsche kit I should start next. All comments welcomed. Thanks for looking
  21. I built the flat nose. Great kit no issues. It's green and it's in the under glass section somewhere.
  22. Looking good Already. Got my attention.
  23. First phase of decals done. Next to do is cut decal from panel lines and then I think she is done. All comments welcomed.
  24. I pasted this reply I got from another forum Since the rear end is independent suspension you have to shorten the torque tube connecting the two trailing arms. On my model ,I sectioned 5/16" out of the center of the torque tube then drilled and pinned it back together using some medium wire. Trial fit the suspension with trailing arms and wheels mounted to see just how much you have to narrow the tube to make it look right. After the tube is narrowed you will find that it might contact the frame so alittle cutting and sanding of the frame might be needed. Lastly you need to shorten the shocks , do this on the top of the shock where it fits in the shock tower and nothing will be visible. I did not mount that beautiful engine in the car so If you plan to do so you will need to shorten the axel shafts. Check out my post "73 911 Carrera" in this same sports car forum for some pics. Michael this is the proper way. I cut cut the shocks and removed the rear wheel spacers. Lots of trial and error.
  25. thanks. Lots of trial and error. I think it took 4 times to get the right stance. Ect. I know what to do now the next time I build this kit.
