To some people a tractor is a car. Not to mention their only way to make money. I collect die-cast Cars or I should refer to them as Miniature Replicas of an Original Car.

I have been reading the forums for awhile and still find my self asking questions mainly newbie questions. There is research involved and I will usually get my answer. But for the new guys and some others I would like to see a thread dedication to information starting with stuff that we use. Example BMF - Bare Metal Foil and equivalent Painting Enamels and Lacquers and other brands of paint that we could use such as Krylon Wiring Glues The List could go on forever, being that everyone is different and build models different but a list compiled of the best things to use but over all instead of searching Google for hours when that time could be spent building. I know I could refer back to it and as well others could. Second thing is on each thing if there is a Tutorial that corresponds to it (ex. body filler) could post that link under it. Just a thought of mine and wanted to see where it would go.

Ok, I've done started with painting...now my next step to work on is clear coating. I know I have to let the paint gas out before doing so or you will get all kinds of bubbles(bad experience) What paint works best with what clear coat? I know enamel over lacquer is not good or is it different with clear? My two top choices are Testors and Krylon. I don't and will eventually buy Tamiya.

All I can say is Wow. Yes, more on the rims. What do you use for the interior paint? specifically the black. I love the jada kit they are easy to put together.

Right at 2.50 apiece you cant beat that. Don't buy them all lol I don't know if I could find them that cheap.

Hmmm high speeds again....must have had a prius motor and braking system.

My biggest problem is the axle housing and the transfer case. She wants a Ford 427 for the engine because it has a blower on it lol. So im left with scratch building the other parts.

Im good for now lol I just bought all four engines for ten bucks. Once I get some more money I will buy more.

Well all that depends on how much work is going to be involved. I mainly want to lift it but I want a good looking suspension too. Honestly its not going on a truck....its going on a vw bug. My wife wants a girly car to be lifted lol. In scale its over a 2 foot lift just because of the tires wont fit otherwise.

Ford engine, my wife took mine lol. Thats what I get for getting her into cars. She said I could buy another one if I let her use that one. Ive been looking at ebay and Im not sure of any other places to find these engines. Anyone know where I can find some? The ones on ebay are going from 14.99 and up with around 5 for shipping.

Ive searched google and found a few to get me started, What I need is all around side,front,back,underneath reference pictures. Does not matter what type of truck.

Yes only one photo. This was not the picture I sent in, lol I took better pictures outside. The motor is not crooked in those. Pin striping is not the best in the world but I have not reached that level of perfection yet.

Anyone know the clubs contact? or show contact? I looked them up and the email addresses are not clear. And the club contact is just to get signed up to be a member.

There are a few ways, I dont have pics but some of these guys will, First a jig made of a 2x4 and straight stiff wire in four corners bent at the top to hold the car in place, Second an old wire hanger will also give you a handle Third is the one I use a cylinder( I have an tube from a old firework and I put tape on the top to hold the car or parts in place this next one is for the parts I paint I use a piece of cardboard with tape to hold them in place. Some of these guys also use a 2x4 with gator clips, which I will get to eventually.

This is sweet, I just picked up a thames model kit, I had never seen one before. This is going to help alot when I begin to build.

Careful on the 63 mustang 2 concept. I was dry fitting mine today and its going together all right but a poor casting. To much to trim off and the back driver lower panel is short, and the hood is a tight fit. I have not made it past the trunk doors and hood.

Should put a check mark beside every rule so they have to at least skim over it at least once.

Been through part of a Tropical storm, in 2005 or so when it actually reached Arkansas. Have had tornado's pass close to where I live and set through about a 10 second quake. Never actually been though any major stuff. I have family in Vilonia, which I am sure some of you have seen it on the news. We have another storm heading our way later today and tomorrow, so you guys in Texas you prob will see the front of this thing. I don't know how bad it will be. The largest hail I've seen was gold ball size and it got my wife's car.
