  1. I'll be using Model Master Acrylic black wash on my next paint job in a couple of weeks. I used to use The Detailer black wash before with good results, but it didn't turn out so good on my last build, so no more of that.
  2. I was not aware of this either, otherwise I would've flown the flag today. I thank the Vietnam Veterans and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
  3. Yes, I'm also waiting for spring and to paint a body or two myself. In the meantime I'm finishing up a few already started kits. Not expecting warmer temps for another two weeks or so .
  4. The newer vehicles have 40+ buttons and knobs on the dash while cars from the 60's have ten or less. And back in the 60's those cars got us around town and cross country just fine. Sure they were heavier and gas mileage was poorer, but if anything broke, it was mechanical. Today if something goes wrong it could be electronics or mechanical and always expensive to fix. They did away with massive chrome bumpers that gave us more protection than what the newer cars of today offer. I somehow don't see the logic of all the new technology and gadgets in the cars of today or the awful styling either if that's what you want to call these oversized jellybean lookin' cars.
  5. Seems like everything has gone up in the past few years, except my income.
  6. I really have enough to build, however if I were to pick what I would like to see (have) next it would be the '60 Buick Invicta kit in both convertible and hardtop versions.
  7. You can get some really nice steel wheels and dog dish hub caps from Scenes Unlimited or Fireball Models. Both have great products and service.
  8. I thought that I would get that kit, but then when I read that the parts were molded in red and black plastic, I decided I really don't need another model kit in my stash.
