  1. A "warm-up" is coming as well. Yeah right, the only thing that is going to heat up is my gas bill. I can hardly wait.
  2. I know Harry, I know, MORE cold and more snow. Hopefully April will be a LOT better. Hang in there as we're yet another day closer to spring. Believe it!
  3. LOTS of people turn their TV's on first thing in the morning, I'm NOT one of them.
  4. It will Craig, I guarantee it!
  5. Missed you at the Du Page show today Kerry, as there were a number of Wisconsinites who came "south of the border" for this show. It was "packed" today. Maybe I'll see you at Cedarville in two weeks?
  6. The dealers around here have no problem selling a car for cash. The bottom line is that they're in business to sell cars period.
  7. Craig, let's do spring, summer, and fall first okay? LOL!
  8. I haven't bought from Altered States for awhile, but I don't recall ever having problems the times I did order from them. Good stuff too!
  9. Welcome Don as this is a good place to be. However if you hate computers, that's GOOD news as you'll have more time for those great builds that you do. I know that I spend WAY too much time on this keyboard. Hopefully I'll change my ways soon and sling more glue instead of bangin' keys.
  10. Charlie, back-in-the-day, no spilled gasoline on my car or my parents car ever ruined the paint job. Don't know what kind of fuel you're using, or what kind of paint you have on your car, but something's not right.
  11. The Du Page show in my book as always been a good show with a good mix of kits, built ups, promos, resins, paint, decals, etc. for sale. Though I really don't need to buy anything, I probably will. I really like seeing all the guys that I have met over the years and been in model car clubs with some of them.
  12. I hafta agree with you Mark on that. A lot of complainers probably don't build much, but just buy kits. The only thing that buying a kit proves, is that one can spend money. If a person want the "perfect kit" it's gonna cost them plenty. Yes, I did say PLENTY. Hire an engineer and designer to plan the model for you and then have it produced. Make sure it is EXACTLY the way you want it before you make the final payment, and I hope that you have very DEEP pockets. And BTW, the box-art will cost extra.
  13. Good luck with your job Joe, and there's another show at Du Page at the end of September.
  14. It was shown in an article in the "other mag" awhile back, on how to bulge the quarter panels out.
  15. A really good fix for your problem Harry is to pack up the kit and donate it to your local Boy Scout Troop. I'm sure there will be some happy young man in that troop that would be able to build it and be grateful to you.
  16. I got my Girl Scout cookies delivered to my house today, and my niece's daughter is the lucky salesperson. If I can help my family and the Girl Scouts, I will.
  17. That"s a cool project, as I started mine awhile ago and right now it's back on the shelf. Hopefully someday soon I'll get back to it and finish it.
  18. The latest I heard from someone who's close to Gary, is that there was a holdup with the box art if I remember correctly. That was two weeks ago.
  19. Just call it a donation and forgetaboutit.
  20. That's a good way to put it, but today around here S is for "slop" as we got some snow/ ice last night and it looks slushy from my window. Guess I'll have to pull out the Toro?
  21. They di.dn't answer my question, I guess they didn't like it or it was way to complicated for them.
  22. Last year I got a paint run in my finish coat and I let it dry for 'bout a week before lightly sanding out the run. Then I reshot the area with paint. The next day I clear coated the entire body. Worked for me.
  23. Competition Resin has some nice automatic trannys if you're interested, in both the short and long tail shaft versions.
  24. It'll be warm and dry Harry, if you stay home tomorrow.
  25. There are a lot of "test shots" out there already, as I usually see them at the club meetings.
