  1. Great meeting today at Rickie's rod Shop with 30+ people, stuff for sale, projects that some members are workin' on as well as a few finished builds, and good food as well as great chili on this rainin' fall day.
  2. The S.L.A.M. club will be meeting this Saturday (Nov. 16th) at Rickie's Rods in Delavan, Wisconsin at 10 a.m. This is a "build 'n bull" session and is always a good time.
  3. I use Devcon 5 Minute Epoxy for most all of my building as well as resin with no problems and good results.
  4. Yes Gerry I'm interested, and I plan on being at the next C.A.R.S. meeting. Thanks.
  5. It seems like everyone who has seen a car magazine on the shelf of their grocery or drug store is a "car expert" and many can't tell the difference between a Charger and Coronet either. Yes there are a LOT of "winnners" at car shows and cruise nights.
  6. Besides the price being "outta da ballpark," that doesn't look too NEW to me???
  7. Cool builds, all of them. What did you use for paint as I have a couple 1/28th scale kits I'd like to start and haven't built a plane model since the 50's. TIA
  8. I've got mine from Ed Fluck, as per my avatar. And no complaints as far as I recall.
  9. I had a "pony car" in '91 and one was enough.
  10. You're VERY different Harry.
  11. 24 hours? Wow, that is quite a long haul and I hope that you bring another driver with you.
  12. What Mercman said, many thanks!
  13. I thought that you were getting a knee replacement on the 9th, will you be good to go to Detroit on the 24th?
  14. I'm not going there, and I already know that I need to buy LESS and build MORE.
  15. There is, but for another time perhaps.
  16. I'm with you on that as my "stash" is plenty big and I'm trying to buy LESS and build MORE.
  17. I like Charlotte,N.C., however it did cost me a LOT of moolah when I went there. But the results were priceless!
  18. Awesome job on that build as I've known Arnie for a long time now.
  19. We may have a couple of Canadian builders next year at the Milwaukee NNL just like this year and also in 2010. That's a 13 hour trip one way. How 'bout you? Hope to see you there.
  20. Nothing irked me today as I had a good day, and lookin' for a good day tomorrow also.
  21. Actually, the Milwaukee NNL is in Waukesha which is just west of Milwaukee. If you like model cars, it will be well worth your effort to see this show this coming April. The "other mag" always covers this show and also has it in their Contest Annual issue as well. One of the members of the AMG (host) club also shoots photos and submits them to Model Cars Magazine for coverage as well.
  22. Trust me, it IS. Last year I cancelled a trip to Buffalo because it was the same weekend as the Milwaukee NNL. This is in your backyard compared to the locations of other NNL's.
  23. I don't see any '72 Road Runners at car shows or cruise nights. Not even at Mopar shows, and that's because nobody wants them. Even '68-'70 Road Runners are scarce and not only do they look the best, they were in the "highlight of the muscle car era.
