  1. I have enough projects on my bench and waiting in my "stash" so anytime Revell makes their announcement is okay with me. Yes, even two years from now.
  2. The S.L.A.M. (Southern Lakes Auto Modelers) meets this Saturday (19th) at Rickie's Rods in Delavan, Wisconsin at 10 am and there will be an auction. Hope to see some of you there.
  3. You're doin' good Jeff. Every model I build is just practice for my next one. Just ENJOY the hobby and build at YOUR own comfort level.
  4. That is a nice small block as I'm using it in my '55 Nomad.
  5. The AMG (Auto Modelers Group) of Wisconsin meets tomorrow Friday Oct. 5th from 6:30 to 9:30 pm at the Waterstone Bank in Oak Creek. Hope to see you there.
  6. Good point.

Cool lookin' build on that convert. I'm waitin' for the Galaxie '46-'48 Chevy Coupe so I can build my "birth year" car.
  8. Beautiful job on that Poncho and excellent work on that tri-toned interior.
  9. I'm with you as I've worked on construction jobs for 30+ years and I've had enough noise. I like it quiet.
  10. They both are lookin' good Craig, nice job!
  11. I believe that the decals for the 383 air cleaner are available from Mike's Scale Speed Shop.
  12. Nice clean build on that Willy's and great color choice also. Where's the passenger seat? It was required in the "gas class."
  13. I wasn't breathing styrene today, but lacquer and I forgot to wear my respirator for the first coat. Ooops, I did wear it for the final (wet) coat, Usually I do three color coats, but today I got by with just two and I'm a firm believer of only using as little paint ad I can get away with.
  14. George Barris usually comes to the Volo Auto Museum for a car show once a year, here in the Midwest.
  15. The Ala Kart was just awesome.
  16. Was 12 O'clock High part of BaBa Black Sheep Squadron, or no? I did buy a Corsair model kit back then and never built it and wish that I had kept it also. Oh well.
  17. What do I think? I think that you should send it to me for my shelf. LOL! Very nice job on the "Bird" and great color choice.
  18. I only use grey primer if I'm shootin' silver or black paint. Any others, I use white primer and am happy with the way the colors turn out.
  19. I try to build all year round. Maybe a little less during the summer months, but some progress and or builds are better than none.
  20. Why all the fuss as we're talking about Chevys here, and pretty soon you'll be able to buy them at your local Walmart.
  21. You're doin' great on that build so far. Really nice job on that engine.
  22. I ALWAYS like '65 Dodge Coronets and would like one in my garage too.
  23. On ALL my paint jobs, I usually clear the next day after spraying the color or colors coats. After that I let the body "gas out" for a couple-three weeks before polishing out the clear coats with sanding grits.
  24. That '37 Ford truck came out lookin' sweeeeeeeeet! And here I bought the kit just for the decals. I may have to rethink that one after seein' your build.
  25. They really should be called the "other mag" in order not to step on toes.
