  1. I am not a fan of John Force and all partys come to an end sooner or later.
  2. Not at my Wallymart either.
  3. You definitely need a better way of storing those built ups. Sure you can restore them and rebuild them, but that takes away time you could be spending on building new ones.
  4. I just love dem Mopars Nick and it looks like you're doing a great job on that C-body project of yours.
  5. Great job on that build Bobby.
  6. I have heard grey primer if you're going to spray the body silver or black, and white primer if you're going to spray any other color. I usually don't use "base coats" unless I'm doing a candy color top coat. Primer, base coats, color coats, clear coats, how many coats are you going to put on a 1/25th scale model? And the more coats, the more build up of paint around your emblems, window trim, etc. or it will cover them up altogether. Use a little paint as you can get away with in achieving your desired results.
  7. I LOVE green, as it's the color of money.
  8. I was checkin' out your photos Porscheman and it looks like a great collection.
  9. Sounds like I should check my local Hobby Lobby soon as well.
  10. Got it! The date is September 22nd from 9 am to 3 pm at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton, Illinois.
  11. I'm likin' that Sunliner a lot!
  12. Ron, that's the DeKalb Show on November 24th, not the DuPage Show in Wheaton.
  13. Nay as I'm still "stuck in the 60's" and a "day two" type of guy.
  14. Nice dio and nice builds as well. I just returned from a "cruise night" 'bout an hour ago.
  15. Nice lookin' Deuce.
  16. I'm just about ready to start on another 14 models, will I, no. And if I had to narrow it down to say just two models, it would be a dilemma. LOL!
  17. I have a local Hobby Lobby 1/2 mile from my house and usually I only go in there if I need something like paint, blades, etc. I have bought many kits there, some just for parts, however I'm tryin' to buy less and build more.
  18. ChromeTech USA gets my vote.
  19. The phrase "Support Your Local Hobby Shop" is a dying issue as many modelers are buying their models, paints, and supplies from mail order and online hobby venues. Soon your local hobby shop will have died and will no longer be there. NO crying when they're gone.
  20. October? The DuPage shows have always been in February and September, no?
  21. Awesome work on that runabout as it looks really sweet. Dumas makes some excellent wooden boat kits as I still have a started one in my crawl space under the house. I got into the model ('55 Chris Craft Cobra) when I was into R/C boats in the 90's.
  22. What's the date for the September swap meet at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton, does anybody know? Thanks.
  23. Several years ago I had spent $150 for a mint JoHan '63 Dodge Polara and just last year $140 for a mint AMT Ski-Drag Boat kit. I have pretty much all the kits I want and of course MORE than I'll build in my lifetime as I'm in the "seventh inning stretch" already.
  24. Nothing special? Well send it over to me as it would look great in my display case. You did a really nice job on that build.
  25. I have plenty of time for modeling, however I don't use all of my time wisely. And no TV does not eat up my time as I'll only watch it 1/2 hour today, on other days about 3 hours tops. I do spend too much time on this keyboard though, and I do keep up with things around the house as my wife is still working. Sometimes I just have to "push" myself to spending time on my bench.
