  1. I think your to hard on yourself, at the age of 19 I had only built two big rigs. Both had been painted with brush paints, they looked terrible but I liked them.
  2. That should keep you busy for a day or two .
  3. I think its coming out very nice.
  4. They look great, I hope to have some WIP pics to post soon. My DM800 is going to to be a off road heavy haul, Iv'e scratch built a front drive axle, and have it setting on 12x24 off road tires from AITM. Living on the coast of Maine, I get to see a lot of large boats being moved over the road. I would like to build a boat hauling trailer and a jeep for the DM800. It needs a jeep because the frame sits so high.
  5. I haven't been able to sit down and hobby since late June, and the other day I had some time so I tried doing some detail painting with the brush paints. My problem is the flat paints came out semi-gloss and did not harden. even after a few days. Did I not stir the pant enough? Iv'e never had this problem before, but Iv'e never taken three and a half months off from the hobby before. Has anyone else had this problem ? any help would be appreciated . Thanks
  6. The trucks look great. nice work on the DM-800 the cab and fenders came out really nice, I know how bad the kit fit is as I'm working on one now.
  7. You should be satisfied with the build, it looks very nice. I like it behind the GMC cabover. Great build.
  8. i'd be interested, have you a build time for the build ? My new work schedule doesn't leave a lot of build time per week.
  9. I found the kit it is missing the sunroof for the cab, and the right hand side window for the sleeper. All the other glass is in decent shape with little or no glue/ paint. if you want it, PM me.
  10. I have a built up that is falling apart. I have no real want to fix,I just want the frame for a T-800, someday, I will check it to see if the glass is in good shape, and post again tomorrow night.
  11. I used the monogram F-250 for the rear springs, rear axle and engine. I used the monogram bronco for the front axle, trans, transfer case and tires. the bell housing came from a johan torino stock car. front springs came from a odd kit, it was the revell bronco with race boat. I built that truck about 17 years ago, before the kids came along. I remember spending 5 or 6 months planning and collecting the parts that I wanted before starting it. Seems like I had more time and money back then.
  12. cool truck, makes me want to dig mine out and build it.
  13. My Uncle had a CCC when I was a little tyke, it was an old military airport tug. coolest truck I've ever seen.
  14. I'd love to post some more pics, but at the end of last month my son spilled a 20 oz cup of iced tea into my laptop. Pretty much kilt it. all my pics and software for my camera is gone, I'm on a borrowed computer right now, can only use it, can't load anything on it. Being out of work won't get a new one any time soon. I used my 1.1 Fisher 8' plow to scratch build that one.
  15. Nice rig Daniel, can't wait to see it done.
