  1. I would not advise mailing your models. For a number of years GSL allowed mail in entries. This stopped a number of years ago because too many models arrived as kits. bobthehobbyguy
  2. Ira, Great work as always. I would suggest that where the exhaust comes out you thin the lip of the body instead of the notch for the outside exhausts. Keep up the good work. bobthehobbyguy
  3. Burnout, I would recommend bring the models as carryone providing you aren't taking to many. That the way I have done it for the GSL in the past I think there is a greater risk with checking them in your baggage. I would also include a note in the box with the model that it is very fragile. bobthehobbyguy
  4. Ira, Another great project. Looking forward to seeing more. bobthehobbyguy
  5. Ira, Looks great in primer. What color are you going to use Can't wait to see more. bobthehobbyguy
  6. Ira, Just found this one and all I can say is really cool. You come up with some interesting ideas and use some interesting kits to make it work. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to see this at the NNL West. Bobthehobbyguy
  7. John, Very impressive. Can't believe you start this 5 days ago. Love all of the scratchbuilding on this. bobthehobbyguy
  8. Ira, Just found this thread. Really cool. Any thought on colors yet? bobthehobbyguy
  9. Jbwelda, Did you ever get this painted? I've pulled my surfite out and building it. Your build has been helpful with me building mine. bobthehobbyguy
  10. John, Very nice job. 2 questions. How much did you z the frame? near the firewall Did you modify the front suspension at all? bobthehobbyguy
  11. Rom, Have you stalled out on this? I've was enjoying following this build. bobthehobbyguy
  12. Chris, Glad it worked. I think there may have been a coating to keep the brass from tarnishing. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to see this done. Bobthehobbyguy
  13. Chris, How did you prep the pieces? Try cleaning them with lacquer thinner and then sanding the brass with 400 or 800 sand paper then clean them with thinner again. Might be something on the brass that is keeping the blacken it from working right. bobthehobbyguy
  14. I actually like the two tail lights myself. I'd suggest painting some masking tape with primer and cover one of the tail lights and take a picture and post the two photos for comparison. Another thought I know you already reworked the exhaust but how about mimicing the shape of the tail lights. Just a thought. Keep up the good work. bobthehobbyguy
  15. Ira, Great work so far. Like the idea that you are working to match the our picture shows a roof. Are you planning to add that also. Bob
  16. Really nice. Cool looking build. Clean building style. Looking forward to seeing this completed. bobthehobbyguy
  17. Any idea why these are so much more than the first set? I paid $10 at my lLHS for the first set. bobthehobbyguy
  18. Nice work so far. What chassis are you using? bobthehobbyguy
  19. Ira, Like what you've added. Not sure if you are planning it but I think you need to add the peak in on the top of the roof. It fits with the cord windshield. bobthehobbyguy
  20. ] 01blueedge, How about doing the firewall up with signs like you did with the interior. I've seen it done for floorboards but not firewalls. Just a thought. bobthehobbyguy
  21. Looks good. Any ideas on what color its going to be? Keep up the good work. bobthehobbyguy
  22. Nice job. Also like the idea of you doing another with a corvair engine. I can see that fitting in the lines. bobthehobbuyguy
  23. Chris, Hoping you can get some bench time soon. I'm having withdrawal from not seeing updates. Looking forward to seeing more progress on this fantastic model. bobthehobbyguy
