I had Cigna and got the notice they were changing names. They wanted to raise the plan cost from $20 to $70 with no benefit to me. I used the medicare site to find another plan. I found a plan for $5.70 a month that suited my needs.

OK more progress. Trying to get this finished. Had to flare the front fenders. Drivers side shows the cut in the fender and a wedge of plastic to get the flare. Used superglue to fill some of the gap.. Passenger side shows the tape to guide the cut and protect the fender molding from damage. Roughed in gas tank. -
A well deserved retirement. Glad to see he realized this was the time to retire. Rooting for Austin Prock to win another championship for JFR.

Hope you are doing better Carl.

Shopping psychology ('splain this to me, Lucy)
bobthehobbyguy replied to Monty's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Although theft is the reason for locking up items the one problem I see is understaffing as a contributing factor. I used to shop at coscto and they always had a person checking what was in the cart and the receipt. Walmart only has someone mark the receipt so it can't be reused. Locking up everything is fine if there is enough staff to open cases. Walmart tends to understaff and the creates a horrible shopping experience. My sister has commented it makes more sense to use parking lot pickup if you have enough items that are locked up.. An added advantage for Walmart is that those transactions are credit or debit. Eliminating cash means no cash drawers to be counted which saves money. In addition no cash means no armored car pickups which saves money. Just something to think about. -
Sorry to hear of your trails and tribulations Carl. You are in my prayers for a speedy recovery.

A quick adblock plus question........
bobthehobbyguy replied to JollySipper's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I googled it and YouTube does not allow adblockers. It is in the terms of service. They want you to pay for no ads. -
Lotteries are basically a tax on the poor. The French discovered you could only get so much tax from the peasants before they revolted. However the gave much more for the hope of winning.

More work on the undercarriage. Filling in the open gaps in the rear and creating mounts for frame to the body. Got the Cobra scoop installed in the hood -
I've given him a couple of books that show how to draw things by using basic shapes and my niece has used the same type of tuto Trials from the web. I have also given him some snap kits to build to get my great nephew into the hobby. He also likes to build things.

I was pleased yesterday. My family and I went out for lunch for my sister's birthday. My niece doesn't believe in shoving a cell phone in my great nephews hand when we are waiting for the food. He likes to draw and I gave him a small sketch book to draw in. He had some great drawings in it and was happily drawing in it yesterday. He got a good eye for drawing what he sees and I'm pleased to encourage him.

Coming Soon from Atomic City's JoHan line of new kits
bobthehobbyguy replied to thatz4u's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Looks like a great kit. For a lot of subject matter this makes the most sense. Due to the niche appeal I really don't think that thecost to do the styrene kit can be justified -
Exactly. 3d printing is just another tool to be used. Not every tool is suited for every task so the more tools you can use offers the ability to choose the best tool for the job . 6Now is the time to adjust the rules to accommodate this new technology. Box stock category was established when all of the aftermarket products. It allowed builders to just compete on skills. The An interesting idea.
