Just bought this book at my Barnes and Noble and it is great.
Lots of cool ideas for rat rods or just for some wild hot rods. Some of the ideas would work as a rat or shiny.

Interesting idea for doing the grooves.
What speed are you using to do the grooves?
Also like the way you did the body to make it look like it had been dented and then pounded out.
Looking forward to seeing more.

Stewart,
Like the look you are going for.
The paint issue you are having with the hood may be the mold release for the resin.
Did you use Westly bleche white to clean the hood?

Nice start.
Like that you are doing a mild custom normally these cars are built stock or as prostreet/streetmachine.
Looking forward to seeing more.

Looking forward to building this one. Have a couple of the pre- resin hood. What stopped me was when all of the chrome is cleaned up it needs to be replated. Plan to use alclad for the chrome.
Hope they clean this one up a bit
What is the best orange to use for this?

John,
Wow another amazing build!!
It is amazing how much white plastic there is that shows all of the scratchbuilding that you've done..
Thanks for sharing your work I've can say I've learned a bunch watching your builds.

Really cool project.
Love the idea of sleeveing the holes in the frame . Wanted to do a frame with holes but with plastic it would be too fragile without reinforcement.

Nice job Hard to believe that this was a glue bomb. Really like this car but I won't pay the silly prices,
Sure wish they would reissue they would sell a bunch.

Nameless National Luminaries. It was coined from comments that Mark Gustavson made when the first GSL didn't get attended.
Not sure of the origin of it being a display versus a contest though.
