  4. Looks like you are getting really close to putting paint on this. Looking forward to seeing it in color. bobthehobbyguy
  5. Chris, I have a question for you. Are you just copying the seat in brass to get the thickness down. If so you could copy the seat with masking tape to get a template. This would help guide you on getting the compound curves by cutting darts in the brass and the push them into position and then solder them. Hope this helps. By the way would you post what you end of for a template for the brass. It might help others that want to do a seat. bobthehobbyguy

  15. I'd suggest using something that fit the period that the car is being built for. How about gold metal flake or maybe pearl white with purple fogging? Scallops might also work. bobthehobbyguy
  16. I know that for the GSL box stock allows decals and bare metal foil. No flocking is allowed. Putty to fix things like ejection pins and sink marks. Also you can do things like drill out exhaust and make a grill see through. The rules are clear you can not make parts out of the sprue. The best way to deal with this is to look into the rules for the contest you are going to enter. Otherwise you will find that you may be bumped out of the box stock class into another class. bobthehobbyguy
  17. I think it needs to be bright. Like a green or orange or red. Might look good in a two tone. Maybe black and red or black and lime green. bobthehobbyguy
  18. Can't wait to see this color. Do you think this will be done for the NNL West in February? Bobthehobbyguy
