  1. Can you show what you mean by simple molds for pressing the plastic into. Your work is very impressive and I can't believe how fast you are with turning out these models. Thanks, bobthehobbyguy
  2. I seen an actual car that this was done to. Also seen some magazine articles showing it. Great start. bobthehobbyguy
  3. John, Another killer model in the works. I'd swear I was looking at the full size car from those photos. You are the master with alclad. bobthehobbyguy
  4. The color looks great. Looking forward to seeing this one done. bobthehobbyguy
  5. Very nice. These would work with say a track t. bobthehobbyguy
  6. What color do you have in mind for this? I like what you've done with this. bobthehobbyguy
  7. This is really cool. Very nice job scratchbuilding. Am going to be watching your progress on this one. Bobthehobbyguy
  8. I'd suggest using something that fit the period that the car is being built for. How about gold metal flake or maybe pearl white with purple fogging? Scallops might also work. bobthehobbyguy
  9. I know that for the GSL box stock allows decals and bare metal foil. No flocking is allowed. Putty to fix things like ejection pins and sink marks. Also you can do things like drill out exhaust and make a grill see through. The rules are clear you can not make parts out of the sprue. The best way to deal with this is to look into the rules for the contest you are going to enter. Otherwise you will find that you may be bumped out of the box stock class into another class. bobthehobbyguy
  10. I think it needs to be bright. Like a green or orange or red. Might look good in a two tone. Maybe black and red or black and lime green. bobthehobbyguy
  11. Can't wait to see this color. Do you think this will be done for the NNL West in February? Bobthehobbyguy
  12. Its wild. What color are you thinking of for this? bobthehobbyguy
  13. Looks like an interesting project. How about some photos of what you are starting out with. bobthehobbyguy

  19. Nice job. Very creative. bobthehobbyguy
  20. Very nice job. Have one of those in my stash just might do a quick build with it. Hopefully it will come out as nice as your did. Did you use Alclad for painting the chrome? Bobthehobbyguy
  21. You've got a great start. What are your plans for the chassis? bobthehobbyguy
  22. Looks nice. How about some more details on the bike? Did you scratch-build the frame? bobthehobbyguy
  23. The build off I would like to see would be Paul Jr, Arlen Ness and Chip Foose. You would see some really nice bikes out of that. The bikes would speak for themselves and wouldn't need the drama and the childishness that this last buildoff had. Arlen has built some really nice bikes and I know Chip hasn't built many but whatever he would come up would be cool. bobthehobbyguy
  24. Randy was also a great historian of the hobby. He was also willing to share his knowledge with others. He not only supported the NNL West, GSL and helped a lot with the local Goodguys shows. Randy you will be missed. bobthehobbyguy
  25. With heavy heart I announce the passing of Randy VanDraiss((12/5/11). Randy was a great guy and deeply involved in the hobby. He particpated and supported the GSL, was deeply nvolved with the NNL West. Randy was always willing to promote the hobby and always there to share and help others with there projects Randy you will be deeply missed. bobthehobbyguy
