howdy yall , ive been working on 2 4070b transtar glue bombs. lol what a train wreck!! i didnt get any instructions and i thought with all the trucks i biult in the past i could wing it. well i was wrong and i am in need of some instructions. does anybody have a set of instructions they can copy for me please, i will gladly pay or maybe if i have parts you may need we can trade. thanks alot for any help on this dennis

its no big deal , lol just take a chain saw and cut off what ya dont want!! lol well some kinda saw anyway. i have about 5 of those kits (unbiult do to my slow biulding technics ) but i thouight about doing that also to atleast 1 of mine. good luck it should be an easy task dennis

thats good, im glad to see these model companies starting to listen to us clients about the trucks we wanna biuld. i only wish i could get a freightliner conventional in a 1/25 , lol or just might have to start biulding 1/24 trucks too. thanks for the info, have you heard anything on price? probly gonna be around $85 like the rest of them italeri are, lol. they purdy proud of them things. dennis

well since its a conventional, why dont you go down to hobby shop and get a IH 4300 transtar kit , use the chassis and part out the rest on evilbay to make some money back? it is a nice set up with steerable front axle and purdy decent detail. or you can order from my atomic there either $29 or $39 delivered to your door. hope this helps dennis

well i got one of the 4070 cabs primed today, i used the duplicolor. man what a differance, but i did find a good use for that model masters junk : i used it to hold the cab up while i primered it with the good stuff lol!!! so i was wondering if the testers paint from can is any good these days, cause i baught about 12 cans of it when i bought the masters ######. oh and i got the grey duplicolor primer, lol you sure can see where any other body work is needed after you prime it, thats good stuff thanks for the help on this one guys. as soon as i figure out how to send pics to the forum ill show my progress dennis

im purdy sure the cab and sleeper were alluminum , the hood was fiberglass for sure. hope this helps dennis

the original colors were white and a light green, in either 76' or 77' they went to 2 sets of stripes: white cab with orange, yellow and green stripes on bottom half of cab, on top half of KW was the same, on petes the top stripes were red yellow and green, lol i think maybe because ol tom inman was partial to those new petes and he was red headed . on hanks you can see the newer trailer with a rainbow stripe down the side. the frames were all painted green. sounds kinda cooky but it was a really sharp lookin paint scheme. that was back when monfort and tom inman ruled the "hammer lane". after im done with the 3 biulds im doing now i plan on a biulding a couple, 1 pete and 1 kw. ill show pics of biuld if i ever figure out how to put pics on here. lol

i have been looking for pics of tom inmans "rainbow color" trucks 1977-83, also jerry inmans conventionals if anybody can find them

hey matt are you gonna put a mural on the front of the trailer too? and for your chicken lights are you gonna have them on chrome bars under the cab and sleeper? if so can ya tell me where to get long strips of chrome so i can get me some lol. also have you thought of a sky or baby blue for the frame? i really like the way this rig is shapin up, lookin like you could win some shows with this one. dennis

hey jamie i have a mack, its the model with the 2/3 cab(no passenger side). its black with sleeper and complete, and oh boy does it look like its wrecked!! lol the frame broke in half right behind the sleeper and other various parts broke off ( looks like the post office drop kicked the box!)it is definately a wreck but i have all the peices , i am not into mack trucks. im looking for some rims and tires : 2 hole or 4 hole bud rims, or revell or italeri rims with tires. what do ya think? dennis
