  1. I'm thinking lowered on 1/24th magnums n chubby tires , bumpers narrowed and tucked back and nice paint. Like Ford might have made it minus the bumper/emissions rules with a modern stance.
  2. I think it would be very easy to lower the back, find a single carb setup and the Magnum wheels. IF this kit is a hit, I would think it would stay as is until the S&H deal runs out. Could be a long wait for other versions...a period NASCAR version interests me but I think it's highly unlikely from Revell.
  3. looks great. I.wish Revell's was stock bodied.
  4. thanks Chuck. That concludes the questioning for now
  5. yes you're right...I wasn't paying attention to the sprue locations. what besides the hood is apparently missing from the red sprue? mirrors? door panels maybe?
  6. that certainly seems fair...it costs me @ 5 bucks to drive to the semi-LHS and back.
  7. A very minor point..wonder why they didn't do the interior in black like the chassis...I believe the 1-1 had a black interior. You know..for the kids n newbies.
  8. ok...I was thinking it looked sorta snapperish and could be mocked up easily. I would not want you to trash your nearly new kit
  9. (soon) After the pics... can you just kinda throw it together so we can all see what it really looks like?
  10. Maybe he just hasn't told Tom that he's had "trouble" with clients for years? Again, years of complaints about service and attitude from MANY customers says a great deal about how a business functions and the owner's sense of responsiblity.
  11. Triva...it couldn't have been licensed in California back in the day...even psuedo police cars had to pass emissions back then
  12. though some of the optional parts look kinda silly now...it clearly can be built into a very nice model, stock or modified. I don't care much for the real car,but the two shown here both look great.
  13. The pics of the kit's valve covers look more like Cleveland shaped to me.. but mounting holes don't lie, I guess.
  14. looks great!
  15. I don't know why but I've had no trouble "sealing" red plastic with silver or aluminium paints as a primer or a finish coat. On both Revellogram and Tamiya red plastics. While various primers and colors have done poor job.
  16. I agree...when I was a kid, those were the first engines I saw disassembled. I learned a lot from them. btw I haven't seen one of those Aurora packs in 50+years ..thanks for sharing.
  17. you're right...the pictured valve covers are what I was going on. sorry
  18. no time to read his review? it's supposed to be a 351 Cleveland.
  19. It appears Tom is mistaken about his "friend's" business practices.... as a quick search of this site reveals years of complaints about Perry's Resin by dozens of different posters. It's a shame too since I saw NO complaints about his products, just his lousy service and apparent indifferent attitude.
  20. I gotta ask...why not just open it and see? It's hard to imagine they'd delete so many parts that aren't stock......
  21. I agree.(and several other recent kits) This kit strikes me as a step backwards from recent new tools, but if sells well, maybe it'll help "pay" for more enthusiast oriented kits. Time will tell....
  22. I guess I've just grown weary of so many things being aimed at the lowest common denominators in society.. Sorry, I didn't mean to dampen anyone's excitement about getting this kit.
  23. I owned a 75 Ranchero in like new condition....you didn't miss much, poor performance and outragously poor gas milage. I DO hope you enjoy the model though,it won't cause you any of those problems
  24. Then why not just sell 'em empty boxes then? or just a very simple snapper? maybe our marketing expert can explain why Revell put so much effort into a kit that "many if not most" would never build?
  25. Interesting mix of new and old Revellogram tech... (I'm still surprised at the interest that show recieves...S&H collectors? amazing...)
