  1. Yikes! I wonder why so many Americans have become so reactionary in recent years...is it,in part, because the music we all enjoyed was replaced by simplistic right-wing propaganda that obsesses a noisey minority? I, for one, would prefer NOT to repeat the 1930s...and the results.
  2. Mine are stored in the garage (some for 20 years)...from below freezing to 100+ degrees, never a problem. The only warped models I've ever had came that way from the the model factories. Did you see the new 61 Pontiac that was packaged with a crushed roof (almost like it melted a bit) in a undamaged box?
  3. That's a shame Steve....amazing no one notices that kind of thing before the box is closed.
  4. Most of the pre-70s cars I've owned have been modeled, but very few of the post 70s. I just bought a new Camry...no models of that, even if they do the NASCAR Camrys since they look nothing like mine. Fortunately there are tons of other interesting kits to choose from.....
  5. You might have noticed all the excitement about the new 61 Pontiac kit that's been all over this site...but it's a two door hardtop. The AMT annual was a Bonneville 2 door hardtop. It would be a big job to convert either one into a 4 door sedan.
  6. Yet, somehow, others continue to post photos (that stay posted) without any apparent problems.....
  7. Don't let it get to you Bill......even if they sell for 1-1 prices, no one has to buy one. (unless you just have to own one of em,who cares what somebody might pay for one?) Hopefully the other version will have outside mirrors and realistic lights.....
  8. Your car and that shop are very nice...thanks for sharing them both!
  9. Both roadsters look great!
  10. Modelhaus shows a 52 Ford grille and bumper combo...likely a replacement part for an early promo. You could call Don and ask if it would work...
  11. It also came in convertible form (including a very nice uptop). Both kits are very well done as others have said.
  12. Looks great! How did you lower the suspension?
  13. People who blame others for the consequences of their own poor judgement.... although sometimes it's kinda hilarious Happy Holidays to the rest of you.
  14. wow! very nice!
  15. It's not all that important I guess but....there were NO 150 Bel Airs. 1955 Chevorlets were available as 150,210 or Bel Airs. You had to pick one or the other (The 150 was the base model had no side or window trim, the Bel Air had chrome trim on the front fenders and rear quarters as well as the window surrounds) To make a replica of that car you'll have to sand off all the side trim from that AMT 55 kit.
  16. Looks good...but $49 seems kinda steep. But importing one from a Japanese source cuts the price by more than 1/2 (even with shipping it's far cheaper)
  17. Don't believe everything (anything) you see or hear on so-called "reality TV"....
  18. those "ugly" 'Vettes clean up real nice...
  19. Seems like they need a new "final approval" guy(s).....someone there seems to be in too big a hurry!
  20. If you are satisfied with how they look, you might not want to read the following... The headlight doors are far too big (especially obvious on the 69) because whoever measured the grilles did a very poor job...google pictures of the real thing and then look at yours. Even a casual observer should have noticed the grilles are divided into equal sections on the real trucks. To those of us that have seen (or owned) these trucks everyday for decades it's just too obvious to overlook or ignore.
  21. What you fail to realize (maybe) is that a few isolated "negative" comments about new products will cause the manufactures to quit the industry, leaving us with no new car models (ignoring Round 2 of course which has no appparent interest in new kits). The fact that this has been proven to be untrue countless times doesn't seem to matter to the "defenders" though........ BTW. anyone know when is Moebius going to fix those F100 grilles? That's a good way of judging their true interest in putting out the best products they can...
  22. very nice!!... I especially like losing the 300 hood n grille.
  23. you're looking at the recess the windshield rests on, not the "upper chrome strip" It appears that the chrome trim is on the glass itself....
