  1. 1/24 th...about the same size as the Monogram 37 Ford sedans.
  2. see my post update Drew. Replicas and minatures of Maryland has lots of neat flathead parts too.
  3. No headers in the woody kit but there are some in the 48 convertible (2n1) kit. The Revell 40 Ford convertible has flathead headers (+ heads n intake.) I like them better than the 48 Ford stuff...
  4. yes please elaborate.... looks just fine from here.
  5. LOL..they must be getting desperate for sales. 34 Ford? too funny!
  6. It's supposed to be a Pontiac engine.. 389-421 Ever try using Google?
  7. how 'bout just putting them on one side?
  8. The front axle is very easy to mount correctly..it's not the same side to side or front to rear. the steering arm (off the left spindel) is only on one side (driver's), the lower shock mounts (holes) face forward and the radius arms mount to the holes on the back of the axle. It looks like you're missing the lower shock mounts (at least on the driver's side) they're molded to the bottom of the axle on each side just below the spring perches. the shock towers/headlight stands would be welded to the frame, not plated. The front shocks from the 32 kit are far too short to use here unless it was lowered quite a bit. hope this helps....
  9. I vote NO on the skirts...especially not the stainless style.
  10. Not a "vicky"....looks like the remains of an AMT 34 sedan....(the body that is)
  11. Here's another "stock" one.....http://www.ebay.com/itm/1976-Ford-Torino-Pro-Built-/151840625582?hash=item235a6813ae
  12. So you were a murderer? or maybe you didn't really mean your victims?
  13. I think your models and your pics are just fine....
  14. What on earth were they thinking? What a mess!
  15. very nicely done!
  16. what "hood supports" and why would anyone run water thru 'em ?
  17. Welcome back... Not that you asked but....We had our first snow of the season in California a couple of weeks ago.
  18. and thank you for your prompt response I was thinking of the AMT caps cause they're very nice and already plated. It doesn't look like there's any hub/lugnut detail? I'll be watching for the coupe pics....
  19. Please tell us more about Norm's wheels Tim,they look great! Are the spokes photoetched or cast? I imagine the V8 hubcaps from early AMT 32s would fit. Anxious to see that coupe body....
  20. sorry daughter #2 borrowed our camera..and hasn't returned it. "Flogged" ? for doing a good deed?
  21. Yep....we live in Palo Cedro, about 10 miles east of Redding just off highway 44.
  22. We'll watch it rise over Mt. Lassen this evening from our back porch..should be great.
  23. agreed re: appropriateness. my comment was more about the health of the hobby, more people getting involved
  24. Actually while poverty is still a serious issue, middle class affuence has increased remarkably around the world in the last few decades....look at the addresses of some of our members here. For example, I stumbled on a Vietnamese model web site recently..excellent models and lots of enthuasism.
  25. Until the mid 20th century (or later) the vast majority of people lived in grinding poverty ...such hobbies can only thrive in affuent societies.
