  1. For pictures of the parts out of the bags and assembled into both versions see Tim Boyd's 3 threads on this kit......
  2. "...and nearly escaping death twice" You didn't escape ..twice? .
  3. Tired of criticism about accuracy, Revell announces it's new generic model station wagon. Therefore all percieved "errors" are wrong and easily (and honestly) dismissed....
  4. I plan on using lever shocks on my 1950ish style highboy with a much thinned spring..with ticket baiting lowered headlights. The kit's 30-31 firewll vs. a 28-9 is presenting some issues right now. The K member from the 32 kits can be trimmed to fit to aid engine/trans swaps.
  5. very nice.
  6. Yeah Bill, straighten up! ....and lose that smile too buster...
  7. My nieghbor has a real one....it looks very different, but that's an upside to modeling rare cars. nice job of mixing parts to "look" right Mark.
  8. But it's my understanding that all these recent kits, flawed or not, are selling VERY well. I suspect that's the kind of positive "feedback" the companies are interested in,not so much the comments made by a handful of posters here. I suspect some of you here are far more upset by these discussions than the model companies are.... It also seems that most of the people who are critical of aspects of new kits have actually purchased them vs. many of the "defenders" who haven't even seen one...
  9. Google/or any search for Divco Milk trucks....tons of pictures of stock n modified ones.
  10. mostly the very chopped top...they sat higher...had no "chrome trim" on the sides...and they used heavier truck wheels.
  11. looks great..."correct" sized tires make quite a difference! .when are we gonna see this as a regular kit? anybody heard anything?
  12. i like the wires n whitewalls do not like it on a rake. .low and level works far better!
  13. FYI The "bite by M and H" refers to a brand of drag slicks (M&H Racemaster)....that are NOT made by Goodyear. Nice racer otherwise...
  14. My health insurance company doesn't help much on a couple of my meds.. I had a pre-existing condition which they accepted (as the law reguires), they just don't want to pay for the meds that treat it (which the law does NOT require).. but they were able to buy a competing insurance company for several billion dollars with their profits.....so it's working for them just fine I guess.
  15. My new Revell 29 Fords came with bubble wrap between the chrome trees that were enclosed in the standard plastic bags...nothing rubbing together. A very thoughtful approach,I've never seen that before.
  16. ok..and Galaxie is doing too few to get the volume "discount" price Moebius pays for the developement/production of their kits?
  17. definitely looks better...the transition from edge of headlight doors to lamp still needs smoothing it appears but maybe its just the contrast of the two colors? but the grille looks great and the headlight doors look like the right width now. yes it was kinda odd to mold the grille open but have no details at all behind it...just one of many things that make the design of the kit seem unfinished to me....
  18. They never had them, they only had the 71s. I understand the run is over, but not sold out. There is said to be a 70 shortbed coming but when is a ?.
  19. ".... that internet tough guy stuff don't work so well." All in a vain effort to impress complete strangers....
  20. Thanks for sharing again Tim...love the 46 'caps. So I guess there's an easy 3rd version here too, a highboy using the model A frame? I don't care for the channeling's effect on the proportions...your idea to move the radiator back might help some, but I think it would need to be chopped to return to the over the axle location. Are those the largest of the 3 headlights?
  21. It sure is "pricey" for what is essentially a modified re-issue. How can Moebius,as an example,do brand new kits for so much less?
  22. looks much better..thanks for the update.
  23. Maybe...seems kinda big for that, almost like the large black borders on late model 1-1 cars. It'll be interesting to see how it looks painted, the other one I saw didn't have them painted either. Nice paint job by the way.
