  1. Yes Roger it's a very nice kit. I'm not really disappointed with it, just a little surprised with how they did a couple of things on the Del Rio. (Kinda like doing a Nomad with a 150 series steering wheel and hubcaps ect. for an example) Had they made a base Ranch wagon most of my concerns wouldn't even apply. I *thought* it would be OK to discuss some of those things without upsetting anyone. I look forward to the Ranchero....
  2. Thanks..I didn't notice your address
  3. Those look great..is that the same yellow as on 2015 Mustangs?
  4. " I'm trying to judge interests not having people question how I will do this." I'm assuming the amount of interest will be related to who's doing it and how. If the project is percieved as unlikely to proceed, the interest won't be there. I think people will want more info than you seem willing to share.. .but good luck none the less
  5. I just checked my AMT F100 (stock flathead)...it uses a different motor mount set up than the old Trophy Series motors. But as Bill said there's lots of room there.
  6. Chuckling... Who complained about ANYTHING? Did my post confuse you somehow? Settle down boy....
  7. Specifically.... that's the 4th box to contain that nice grille. 2nd to contain the supercharger parts 4th to contain the frame and running gear. (though there are some differences with the stock car kit) But 1st to have the wagon body, glass and interior all of which are very nicely done....
  8. Yawn?.. still not ok to discuss the kit frankly? Other than the 'guards n the steering wheel...I think it's a great kit...niether of my concerns are or should be a deal breaker. People ARE voting with their wallets Bob...it appears to be a hit!
  9. The 69 F100 will definitely be the last Moebius product I buy on "faith". From misleading packaging to what looks like an incomplete product in the box, I no longer trust them. That IS the good thing about this site..you can usually see pics of the products (from consumers) before making a purchase. Lesson learned....
  10. You might want to research which bodies Ford actually made and what they were called and which bodies are already offered by the aftermarket first. This strikes me as VERY ambitious for a 14 year old....any samples of your work?
  11. Replicas and Minatures of Maryland makes a pretty nice set but they're pricey. ($30 If I recall correctly)
  12. You can get those hubcaps from the AMT 32 kits, but the wheels are awful. No kit has really nice Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels unfortunately.
  13. Too late to mention the incorrect steering wheel? Perhaps the correct "upscale" hub and horn ring was also deleted? Wouldn't Ford's "Nomad" also have deluxe wheelcovers? Yes it's a *very* nice kit...but Revell did take some short cuts for their "stock" kit. Of course there's always the AMT kit for some of these "missing" parts.
  14. So.... obviously the "negative" comments here have little effect (if any) on the sales of Revell's model cars. No one here works for Revell or designs thier kits that I'm aware of. (no feelings to hurt) There's no sign that their employees have fragile egos. (if any read these threads) No sign they might quit thier jobs or the industry. (because of comments here) No sign they're afraid to issue new products. (obviously) So it's probably ok to discuss and/or question thier products without worrying that it will close them down....
  15. "A big plus since the last kit I built was much worse than I had expected." Yep the wagon is almost perfect compared to the pickups..
  16. "Just a demonstration of how easy it is to pull the few out with a simple comment.... " Why on earth would you want to do that? That's the point that seems elude you.. it's a model car discussion web site, remember? Not really a place to "demonstrate" your child-like attention seeking.... So to "fix" the minor issues some of us have with this kit would make it cost 2 1/2 to 5 times more than this one, huh? Now that's an interesting "opinion".....
  17. Some folks simply cannot tolerate discussion or debate, nor can they ignore it..so they try to insult people that are able to tolerate discussion and even disagreements. Maybe "talking" about the hobby isn't the fun part for some......unless everyone agrees with them?
  18. I tried that....nope makes it even more "cartoon" like to my eye. I haven't seen the 71 in person, but maybe the black headlight surrounds might help? I'm still amazed no one noticed the mistake before putting it into production....
  19. Yes Tom I did... The box art on the 69 pickup (seen or purchased one yet?) both showes 3 different bumpers and it also describes them. Yep Tom, I expect parts shown and described on the box, to be IN the box...just as I would for any product. If that's too hard to understand...so be it. See no name calling or insults..can YOU do that?
  20. So you act like that all the time just to get one person's reaction? Then try to mock him with the little faces? Now that's funny! Get well soon son... Where's your wagon build thread Tom?
  21. I doubt he has a functioning sarcasm detector....
  22. I wonder if some of you can express your opinions without trying to insult those with whom you disagree? If it's "just a hobby" why do YOU guys act like that, calling people names for example. Did any of you have a hand in designing this kit? Then why be so defensive about it. If debate or discussion troubles you so...why read any of it? Try to relax..failing that, work on your manners. Please?
  23. Might be very interesting.... I just hope they can resist adding the usual fake drama... maybe focus on the cars instead of personalities?
  24. very,very nice...realistic too.
