  1. Kinda frustrating isn't it? I think the results will be very satisfying though, unlike my old AMT kit that was so close but ....
  2. I've never seen this kit in person.... just curious, anybody know how well it's been selling? I'd like to build this and the Camaro...but I've no place to put them.
  3. I'm surprised that I've only seem two built...both pre-release factory versions. Has anyone here finished thiers? Mine is awaiting better weather to paint it.
  4. Any updates on the sedan version?
  5. I'm more than ready for this kit!
  6. But his 57 is 1/24th scale and all the better 57 interiors are 1/25th. All the newer 57 kits are much nicer overall...I'd get one of those if I wanted to build a real nice 57.
  7. Me too..I wonder what's up with the coupe,it seems like the body was finished quite sometime ago. I've seen several pictures of finished cars going back for months now.
  8. It depends on who you ask...they removed the rear bumper guards witch makes it harder to build it stock is my only issue. But if you've found nothing "wrong" with it...so be it. Enjoy it. I think it's a very nice kit, (just like the sedan)..and it.looks just like a 57 Ford to me.
  9. Nice job on a very nice kit....
  10. I agree..it.looks like a very nice kit..should be fun to build.
  11. I've got the opposite problem here...it's 110 with 8% humidity. The paint dries as it comes outta the can
  12. OK. Since it apparently only bothered me..that's the end of it for me. I am building it....I've got all the extra trim sanded off and a new IFS fitted and I have a bumper coming from one of the members here.
  13. Still nothing on the HLJ site....but the price has gone up quite a bit. Hobby Search (which still shows the original price too) has posted several pictures and the instruction sheet...looks good!
  14. The stock bumper (painted white) is shown in TWO different pictures ON the box. Yes,the step bumper was "optional" on real trucks..but that's not the context here. The box refers to 2 stock bumperS (both chrome) and an "optional" step bumper. I just wanted what was shown AND described to be in the box...
  15. Hopefully you will not "promise" the automatic trans on the box....
  16. So Dave, you're saying we can't expect to see the parts shown on the box to be in the box, because,by gosh, there was a "misunderstanding". I guess I "misunderstood" why there's pictures and writing on the box ..too? Well that's clear enough... Your customer service attendant tells me you folks will happily sell me the bumper I already paid for though. No thanks, I'm not in the habit of paying for something twice.
  17. Nice job...one of the best weathering jobs I've seen.
  18. I'm still kinda surprised they "fixed" a minor error on the 57 wagon (the too tall rear bumper guards) by removing them altogether...making it into a BIG error. What on earth were they thinking?
  19. Well if you're that put off by comments about the Ford...you might want to avoid reading about any kits because, likely as not, there aren't gonna be any perfect ones and people will frequently mention perceived flaws and then you wouldn't wanna buy any new kits. If you like 57 Fords, you'll like this kit just fine.
  20. I have never called anyone names or mocked thier choosen names Tom...how about you? I was called a troll by this fellow because I wrote "No thank you" on a thread asking for two kits to be produced that I had no interest in. Not really a "troll" style response to rational folks. People are more than welcome to ignore or disagree with me...how about you Tom? You seem to be upset by things that have nothing to do with you...in my business we call that "boundary" issues, among other things.. I hope you get over that challenge soon...you'll be happier.
  21. How well would models of some of the worst cars ever made sell? Very poorly would be my guess.
  22. I've never had any problems with their products....however they're getting hard to find in my area. Humidity is never an issue here (except during our all too brief rainy season) and thier car paints dry almost instantly here.
